I''m debating between a princess cut and a cushion cut, which one sparkles more given the same clarity and color? Likewise, what other cuts would you recommend for a solitaire besides a round, pear, or heart shaped diamond? Interested in what people think of radiants as well.

Oval''s are lovely; I think it is all personal preference. I am loving the pears lately but I have a round.

Radiants are stunning IRL - one of my girlfriends has one that is droolworthy. I like the ones that are more squarish than rectangular, though. Also like cushions (when done well). Search for PoH or Princess of Hearts - there are a couple here that are FANTASTIC, very different from a regular princess cut. Ovals are a great cut to maximize finger coverage/ct weight. I tried on a couple beautiful ones in our e-ring search, but I''ve always been a step-cut person and knew that''s what I wanted. :)

Skippy is right on about being a personal preference - most people just seem to have a reaction to different shapes that are pretty unexplainable.

Radiants and Cushions are very interesting cuts to me. Do you have any pics that you could show me of your friends radiant e-ring?

Unfortunately, no photos of my friend''s ring - but the threads Skippy posted show of PS''s best! Gorgeous, aren''t they??
