So I've been trying to decide how I would like to set my Fancy Deep Yellow RB that has Strong Green Fluorescence.

I was told that it needs to be prong set to allow for the maximum amount of light to reach the stone and since it's only about 6mm-I decided it needed a halo.

I initially was planning on having it set into an octagon shape halo, until I ran across this setting at an estate dealers. I love the fact that the basket and prongs were YG and love the floating halos :)

What do you all think of it before I have it set, too strange???

CCN-thanks so much, the setting is so much prettier in person than in the photos---I''m thinking claw prongs :)

CCN-I'm really into claw prongs lately and am thinking I'd love them with this stone for sure

pjean and flygirl-thanks, I really love the strong fluor, it sure makes it an ever changing color!

I just don't know who to take it to, to have the stone set---I really don't trust any of the jewelers close to me to do a good job! Kind of frustrating!!!

Oh I think that setting is just perfect for your stone and it must have claw prongs!!!!

What a lovely and unusual diamond!

And that setting is perfect for it. Definitely claw prongs!

I''m not going to be of much help here on what setting to choose (although I think the stone in that setting is fab!). However, I just wanted to say that the stone is absolutely the most TDF colored diamond, and I''m sitting here drooling and envious.

THe color on that stone is amazing, and I wish I could find one like that.

That is seriously the coolest fluor photo EVER. What a beautiful stone - and I love the setting for it. It's delicate but very stately at the same time. The rope detail on the side is awesome and very unexpected. I love your taste!

Catmom-thanks so much :) Claws for sure!

Flowerladytoo-It is such a crazy color, almost looks treated-glad it has a GIA cert.

TL-Thanks, I really love colored diamonds-esp. crazy colored ones!

Elmorton-The Fluor is out of this world, so cool! What drew me to this stone to begin with :) I am really loving the setting more and more everytime I look at it!!!

That is one glow-in-the-dark stone. Looks fantastic in that setting!

Wow! that''s lovely. Always been a big fan of white and yellow gold togeter. The setting is a great compliment to your beautiful stone.

WOW! I love the fluor! Amazing.

I''m another that loves yellow and white together so go for it!!!!

I really like the halo setting with it. Makes the color really pop!

I had to interject here, but I don''t know how how that color would not pop!! You could probably put it in a lead case, and the color would pop!

Now I am actually wondering if it does phosphoresce in the dark!?!?! Doubt it, but that would be cool :)
