F SI1 - Should I purchase?

Lenovo, as mentioned I paid $18,740US (plus taxes) for this.

Regarding the fluorescence, I was worried about this, but now in hindsight there was nothing to worry about. My stone is only 'strong blue' as opposed to 'very strong blue' which is what you are looking at. From what I now know about fluorescence it's very rare that there is any detrimental effect on the stone (unless the diamond going blue in a night club is a concern). As Garry Hollaway mentioned, my stone was reported to have 'excellent luster' an industry term meaning the fluor has no effect.

It seems that the industry has deemed fluor a negative thing and have priced the stones accordingly, I know this is why I got my diamond at such a great price, it would have been listed at a much higher price if the fluor was 'none'.

Good luck with your purchase.

Here it is! My 2.0ct Symmetrical Ideal Cut (HCA 1.4), F SI1 with 12 round brilliant cut diamonds channel set in platinum. It’s absolutely perfect, I love it and I know my girlfriend will too.

Thanks so much to Garry Hollaway for his help all of the way through the process, I’m very happy that he personally looked at my diamond and confirmed the quality. The ring was made at Holloway Diamonds in Melbourne, Australia with the help (and patience) of Claire who really was great.

Now all I have to do is pop the question.

PS for all, photo's of jewellery on dark backgrounds are much more difficult than on neutral backgrounds.
