Extra Facets

The diamond I''ve been looking at is rated excellent cut by GIA but it has an extra facet on the girdle. Does this affect the price, briliance, etc? I could only see it under a loupe not with the naked eye.

A very minor mind thing.

Rarely ever do they affect optical beauty

Extra facets are usually small and have little or no effect on anything. They are frequently (but not always) found on or below the girdle.
