When someone gets drunk or drugged and rams your house with his pick up, do you like the idea that police and emergency services come and help you?
What if they asked if you could afford help first?

I am sorry, but this is a really tired argument. no-one is disputing the need for police, fire, ambulance, judiciary, roads and military. the only people arguing that are market anarchists and some minarchists. not even libertarians oppose emergency servies, judiciary, road infrastructure and the military being paid out of taxation.
