Eternity band to small.....what to do?

I recently purchased a preloved eternity band, hoping it would fit. Well, the ring is a bit too snug, and unfortunately I can't return it. So my question is has anyone had the inside of their eternity band shaved down to allow for a 1/4 to 1/2 size larger? If so, who did you get to do this? I have contacted a couple of jewelers but they won't do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have an eternity band but from what I read, the sizing is sort of, well, eternity for eternity bands... Maybe you can sell it and get the right size?

Hi taylorbug!

It is possible to shave down or stretch the ring about a 1/4 size up, I would keep looking for a goldsmith who feels confident in doing it. I have seen it done to a similar style setting with no complications.

As an alternative, you could see if someone would replace one of the diamonds (or even one of the spacers?) with a small sizing bar.
