Hello,

Wondering if anyone can give me any ideas of what to expect price wise for an eternity band with .30 stones, measuring 4.2mm. My ring size is 3.75/4, so I think 13-14 stones will be needed, round brilliant, excellent cut, G color, VS clarity, set in a 14k white gold u prong setting?

I've had quotes all over the map ranging from 5k to 16k. Wondering what is reasonable and fair to expect to pay to have the quality be up to what I'm asking.

Also if I went with IDJ in NY is there some reason the purchase is not taxed? I live in CA, and there are also jewelers im considering in jewelers district.

Thanks

Are you customizing/creating a bespoke ring, or is this something that is likely already set?
I purchased 7 vintage Asschers for an Anniversary Band I will be creating on my own from Yoram @ GemConcepts. They are 0.25ct/each, approx. 3.45-3.50mm square. My band will cover 3/4 of my finger (size 5.5). I am also going to set them in a shared U-Prong setting (14k WG), and add some extra bling along the profile.
My 7 Vintage Asschers at 0.25ct/ea. VS clarity F/G color were $7,800. That was just for the Diamonds.
I have to meet with my local jeweler who will create my setting, and set the stones to discuss budget for my setting.
I believe, from my own experience, to this point, you are likely looking at closer to the higher end of those quotes you posted; my guess would be $12k-$16k, depending on the jeweler, and whether or not they give you a really great deal on the setting, if you purchase your diamonds from them.
I’m sure you’ll get more informed advice from others who have completed their projects, and who have had more experience....
