Hi all,

I have the opportunity to purchase a preloved 3+ ctw Tiffany shared prong eternity band in 18k yellow gold for a little over half of current list price which is 17k. I have been thinking about getting one but hadn't planned to do so this soon. The yellow gold would match my engagement ring and it is my size. It is still a chunk of investment but do you think this is too great a deal to pass up?! HELP!!!!

It comes with all the correct and necessary paperwork (receipts and all)?

Likely no receipt--I forgot to ask but it has recently been to Tiffany for a cleaning and polish.

Bump--anyone have any advice?

I ordered one once and ended up not keeping it. I felt it was a stand-alone band and wouldn't work well with an e-ring, so I was afraid it wouldn't get enough wear. I loved it, but I think I made the right decision for me.

I think the price sounds good, though, and if you really have been wanting one, I'd say go for it, assuming there is a return policy.

Thanks DS! Great thoughts, I hadn't even considered what it would be like with my e ring size wise. I think because I don't wear it that much. It is tight. I have a small half diamond band and it drives me crazy when it turns and it isn't even that loose so that is why I am attracted to the eternity on the first place. That and it is GORGEOUS! Any thoughts with 18k gold vs platinum? Thanks!

Hi Lilysweet!
Have you seen and tried on the Tiffany ring in person? A few weeks ago, I went to my local Tiffany and tried on the shared prong with 15-pointers in platinum - just under 3 carats in my size. It was pretty, but for me, didn't justify the price (retail was over $15k). For significantly less than half the price of the Tiffany, I had Mark T at Brilliantly Engaged create one for me with larger stones and it honestly blew away the Tiffany when I opened the box.
I've usually found Tiffany settings to very refined and delicate and worth spending the extra $$ for (e.g., I forked out for a Tiffany Victoria tennis bracelet), but in this case, the ring Tiffany was clunkier, with more metal and much less comfortable. I asked Mark to make the setting as low as possible: it's at most, 2.5mm high off my finger - much lower, sleeker, better proportioned and more comfortable than the Tiffany.
I was able to get larger, 20-point stones - 3.2 tcw, F-G VS ideal cut stones ... I can see the arrows!
I wish I could post a picture, but it was a birthday gift, so it's hidden away until next weekend. DH allowed me to take a quick peek and to try it on when it arrived to make sure that everything checked out re: size and quality. My ring is the same as asscher_girl's, but with smaller stones and no sizing bar: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-updated-erd-eternity-band-3-75-ctw.192988/
I plan to wear it as a stand-alone ring or to stack it with some of my skinny bands.

IMHO If you're looking to spend the $$, even at half-off the Tiffany list price, you can do better...
