ERD vs BGD

Anyone have any experiences between these two in terms of better customer service/offers?

I know ERD offers 30 days refund vs. BGD with only 15 (less $75 for shipping).

I also know BGD offers lifetime upgrade/buyback policies. Couldn't find anything on BGD regarding this. Tried to message them, awaiting reply. Thank you!

No personal experience with either, so I can't help there. Both offer lifetime upgrade (see below links). James Allen also has lifetime upgrades and one of the best return policies (60 days).

Just started the process of getting a custom setting made from ERD and so far Chris has been very helpful in explaining everything. So long as things continue the same way, I won't have any complaints at all.

I don't have any experience with BGD, but we worked with Mark at ERD recently to find our cushion cut stone and create a setting for an engagement ring (which I have not gotten to see yet, but my other tells me it is absolutely beautiful) and had a very good experience. He was responsive and helpful, and let us know when he thought something we wanted to do with the setting might be a bad idea. Overall, we both enjoyed working with him.

I emailed him a week or so ago about a custom setting and he hasn't gotten back to me. Have you been working with him in person or speaking on the phone? I'm in Canada so I don't have many choices for communication . Just wasn't sure if it was unusual that I haven't heard back from him yet. I was just asking for a quote for a setting he's done before.

hi linny, I am also from Canada, and I JUST spoke to Mark on the phone. I decided to go with ERD. They are amazing, actually very prompt in returning e-mails. They also called me to confirm everything. E-mail mark directly and leave him your number. I know they had some difficulties on their site earlier this week, so maybe your e-mail didn't go through. Goodluck!

Isn't it a wonderful position to be in when you have to decide between two awesome vendors?

I dealt with BGD's Denise as the point person for my mom's multiple ring projects, and I have also dealt with ERD's Chris for my e-ring and other projects. Both vendors are fantastic. I can't wait to see the outcome of your project!

Chris is awesome.

You won't be disappointed. He got back to each and every one of my hundreds of emails to him, has called me on the phone and kept me informed about my wedding set each step of the process (sort of). I will not hesitate to go with ERD again.

We are from Canada too, and recently just purchased my upgraded e-ring from ERD (Chris). Chris was fantastic to work with, and we communicated via e-mail and phone numerous times (an understatement). I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
