Engraving?...

I may have asked this question before, so forgive me, but I have had my eye on a very simple but beautiful plain locket. Looking for a place to engrave my initial(s) on it. Locally there is only machine engraving which looks cheap. Does anyone know of a company that will take on a locket to engrave? You see some beautiful vintage pieces with (I presume) hand done monograms. Some companies like Blue Nile will engrave their own pieces but it is final sale afterward and won’t provide examples of their engraving. Of course I understand final sale but I need to be confident with the engraving! A lot of companies have hand done, but only for their own pieces (insurance issues). Just wondering...
