I'm looking to buy a ring with a round diamond (approx 1ct) that incorporates emeralds. That last bit, really reduces the number of options on bands.

These are the two diamonds I'm looking at:

http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.02-carat-h-color-vs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-41685

Both are H color, VS2, with Excellent (GIA) cut, and good proportions. The diamond from James Allen looks like it may have an eye visible inclusion, but I'm not knowledgeable in diamonds.

For bands, these are the three I'm considering:
Pear emeralds - http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/three-stone/platinum-three-stone-pear-shaped-emerald-engagement-ring-item-16658
Trillion emeralds - http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/three-stone/platinum-three-stone-trillion-shaped-emerald-engagement-ring-item-16307
Round emeralds - http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/three-stone/platinum-three-stone-round-emerald-engagement-ring-item-16306

The round three stone originally caught my eye, but now the pear and trillion shapes are also growing on me. One thing I'm worred about is relative proportions and it seems like the round emeralds may make the center diamond appear smaller.

Thoughts and opinions welcome.

I prefer the setting with the round emeralds, mainly because it seems like the edges of the emeralds are less exposed than with the other two settings.
