Emerald Cuts & Asschers - A Collection

Wow - gorgeous! When did you add Patrick to your collection? Does he have his own SMTB thread (and if not why not???:naughty:) I love the colour - quite unusual in an EC, I think. And looks to be a lovely cut as well. I think we need more pictures!

Thank you diamondhoarder! I got Patrick 3-4 years ago, he's a 1.17 but deep as a tooth, faces up like a .90. I think that's why he's so flashy. I'll get the tripod and try to get a good photo.
He's named B2C Patrick for their manager, Patrick.

Three months later, photos. The first is from B2C, you can see the green fluoro. By a window he looks like a peridot. The bottom is how he looks away from natural light, yellow all the time. Patrick is far from outstanding but he never, never turns off. Always flashing yellow-gold light.

I could stand more photos of that 7 stone Asscher eternity ring. I can't remember seeing a nicer one.

Wow, what a beauty.

marcy, thank you so much! This was the 3rd yellow EC from B2C, and when Alex called me about it, he said, "It's really sparkly" and his voice kind of quavered. So I
spent twice as much as I wanted for a much smaller diamond.
I've tried to regret it, I can't.

Looks like you’ve got a keeper there. I’m sure spending more than you planned was worth it. A sparkly EC is amazing!

Rita! How lovely! Enchanting. You have quite a piece there, hard to find its equal.

Oh my gosh, I love Rita’s long and thin proportions. She’s just like a supermodel. Those facets go on for miles!

Congrats on a stunning ring! May I ask what your finger size is? Rita takes up so much finger real estate :geek2:

Thanks so much! I wear a size 5.5.

I am making a decision right now for either a .90 natural IF L or a beautiful lab at 1.5. I swear the natural EC cuts are nicer. The material seems finer. I am so glad I saw your lovely ring! It is so pretty.

Sounds like a tough decision. I'd pick the one that makes me smile the most when I wear it. I am looking forward to seeing what you get.

I don’t think I ever posted here. My e-ring from Brian Gavin-the last of his ideal cut emerald cuts. 2.0Ct e. I am looking for ideas for wedding bands and/or wraps or even more substantial remounts that preserve the claws idea. Could include more than one band. This is going to be my forever/retirement wedding set so within reason the sky is the limit but I don’t want to lose the focus on the center stone. Also the band must be thicker to cover up my loose skin (aging y’all-ugh!). Am considering @mrs-b Bodacia the valiant original look in platinum. Thoughts are welcome. (Second photo was by Brian Gavin). I love the solitaire but am dreaming of something more substantial. 9A0D6B94-ED1D-4A5E-96EF-EFCDC04AF9EA.jpegA8E58426-269B-48C5-B933-B0EDD165AB27.png493150E8-624B-448B-AE85-00625C2C2A00.jpegB1533A59-F185-4292-BD1B-3D8240CAFA0F.jpeg

He's not cutting his own ECs any more?

Absolutely gorgeous diamond and ring @Bravissimo I can see why it will be your forever ring. My mind went immediately to a three stone ring. Adding two smaller EC stones on the side would be gorgeous. I totally agree to keep the focus on your center diamond. There are certainly a lot of great examples and variety in this thread to give you some ideas. You'll know it when you see it. I can't wait to see what you decide.

Ironically, I have on my EC ring and EC studs today.

OMG, Neptune! And that bracelet!

Thank you @Ibrakeforpossums and @marcy

I really would like to remind potential step cut lovers that this cut could be pretty fiery too.

You are so right @Neptune. It’s different fire than a RB, but it can certainly hold its own in performance. Those long facets put out amazing prisms and I’ve been nailed by flashes off my EC while driving before. They don’t disappoint.
