Hi PSers! Hoping you can help me determine if this setting in the pic attached would work with a 1.5 carat Emerald cut diamond. I have a size 6 hand and always thought that it will take a stone that is 2c+ to achieve this kind of a look and proportion. Am I wrong?

This look will work with a 1.5ct EC.
I have size 5.5 fingers. I wear a size 6 ring for swelling, and stacking.
I have a 1.07ct EC, and it looks larger on my hand. Most people mistake it for 2ct.
I believe it would look larger, if set in the semi-mount like the one in the photo....

It's a classic setting and I think it will work with a 1.5. but it really depends on the measurements. I don't know what size finger the person has in the photo and it's so close it's hard to see the actual size if it was more a true life view.

I think a 1.50 carat Emerald diamond will have the same look. Please remember that the actual mm sizes of a diamond are dependant of the Cut. Try to get a diamond that has 65-68% depth and table and that the crown height 10-12% thiswill be a nice combination of mm size and brilliance

I’m just worried about finger coverage. I know the ring itself will look beautiful but I don’t want it to look too small on me.

For reference, this is how a 1.5 in another setting looks on my finger.
