Emerald Cut Question -- Table Size

Hello all-- I am most likely going to buy an emerald cut from JA-- in the 1.5-1.8 carat range. I've studied the recommended dimensions, etc and am left wondering about table size. It seems to be a larger table will make for a larger-appearing diamond and a more glassy top, which seem to be good things. Are there any downsides to a larger table?

Put another way-- if I am looking at two similarly priced and sized diamonds (I fully understand I can't evaluate them in person so am taking a risk there) should I pick the one with the larger table?

Thanks!

Smaller table with a higher crown == greater play of light and more fire in equally well cut ECs.
Since well cut ECs are rare finding 2 such diamonds is no small task.
