#JOTW Emerald and Diamond ring splurge at the Antique show today!

I made an impulse buy today at the Miami Beach Antique and Jewelry show. I will pick it up Monday with its cert and box. The ring is from the turn of the century. Platinum on gold for the diamonds and gold bezel for the emerald. A want for sure and not a need. I had to have it though. I will think about unloading a few pieces that I am tired of in the next few months or consign at the next show. Here are a few hand shots from the show. Not sure which way to wear it. Which way do you like better?

Magnificent!!!! Love it. Another vote for the emerald towards the hand, I think wearing it that way both looks better and is possibly more practical for protecting it too.

Thank you everyone! I can't wait to pick it up on Monday and I will post better pictures.Do you all mean you like the direction of the emerald in the first picture or the second picture? I'm confused sorry.It took me three days to get through the show and I kept coming back to this ring. So many crazy beautiful things! I have never seen so many huge diamonds in one place! So many booths had stones over 9 or 10 cts. They looked almost like costume jewelry since they were so huge! A ton of old stones too. I thought pieces were really expensive this year. So many of the jewelry pieces are bought and sold dealer to dealer and the price goes up.There are over 1000 dealers at this show! A feast for the eyes. I wait evey year for it and uaually go 4 of the 5 days.

Yes we definitely need more pics to decide. I think it looks more majestic in pic one but could possibly catch on less things in pic two. Take some more pics and everyone will decide. Maybe you should have days where you wear it up one way and other days when it is up the other way Either way its a stunning ring!!!
