I agree. This should be considered a message to take this as an opportunity to find something better!! Mind if I look?
 
So, I was completely devastated I missed out on a great stone. Life happened and here I am on the search again. I've reached out to a few jewelers, but in the meantime I'd appreciate some thoughts on these contenders:

Again, SI1 rating - Seems there's a good size cloud, worried the haze is visible. At least, I'm pretty sure it is.

@Karl_K, @Todd Gray, @Rockdiamond, and any other experts: please feel free to jump in, here!
My non-expert opinion: #3 is the least likely candidate via ASET; not enough red, and questionable darkness in the center.
The other two are clean SI’s, and look better via ASET, however, in video, none are phenomenal performers, but still “good” performers. Some steps take longer to flash, while tilted; and there are moments when steps are on & off at the same time, but they still appear to be relatively lively, overall.
For a diamond this size, l’d expect a little more...
But, that’s just me*. Very important for the guys who know step Cuts, inside & out, to comment....
 
The first one is a very bright classic style EC, Larger table, lower crown.
Not as flashy as a smaller tabled more modern cut.

Laying on the p2 facet rotating end to end is one of the worst ways to evaluate an EC and the longer the EC the harder it becomes.
The longer the diamond the slower they flash that way.
On the hand the unless its set n/s the way they flash when rotated the other way is much more important.
Based on the ASET and type it is flashing as expected.
@Matthews1127 that is what your seeing, they are tricky laying that way.

With all si step cuts a sales rep saying it is pretty clean is not enough unless they have the diamond in their hand. It needs a person looking at it and not pictures.
Eye clean ones are very rare. The first one the inclusions are well placed to be eye clean to eye cleanish but an in person evaluation is the only opinion that counts.
