That looks like a piece of melter salt I throw down so nobody slips.

I have a friend whose husband bought her a 2 ct RB solitare off of ebay, as an upgrade to her original invisible set princess e-ring. He got it for right around 1K, and thought it was such a good deal. It was clarity enhanced to an SI2 and there is literally no sparkle to it. It just looks like a foggy piece of glass, so to speak. I think too, because it is so big, the bad clarity is extremely noticeable.

That one is listed as an I2???

There was a woman in a college class I was in who also had one of those foggy diamonds. She loved it too and would proudly hold her hand out continuously so we all could see it! I have no idea how big it was. Back then I thought 1 ct. but for all I know it could have been a deeply cut 2 ct. lol (And I became eng. while in that class with my dazzling smaller stone. She probably thought I was a peasant or something. lol!

LOL. My friend used to go on and on about how big her ring was, and how her husband got such a great deal from the eBay dealer/store he bought the ring from. She would make quips like, "I can''t believe you guys spent that much on your stone. (we did ALOT of research before purchasing my stone and we got it for a good price). You should contact (ebay seller) and think about upgrading your stone to a bigger one." I''d just reply by saying I was quite happy with my (.80 ct) stone because of how good the cut, clarity, and color are. Then she''s say stuff like well, mine has to be good too because we had it appraised (supposedly by a chain store at the mall), and it appraised for 40K. I''d just roll my eyes, thinking there is NO way!!! Then one day we stopped in the jewelry store where my stone was purchased and had our rings cleaned. We were holding them beside each others and mine sparkled like crazy, and hers looked cloudy, even in jewelry store lightening. She made some comment about how crappy of a job they did at cleaning her stone....even though the same person cleaned both of ours. In just the week and a half that I have had my ring back since getting it reset in the halo, I''ve had several people compliment on it while we are out in public. I can tell it bothers her, because she will put her hand to her face, or cross her arms so that they will notice hers too, and not one person has complimented on it. She sent me an email the other day saying, "I''m so jealous of your new ring. I wish I had one just like it."

OMG... Did you see the "appraisal"? It supposedly appraises for $6500!!!!!

Oh. My. Goodness! That is absolutely horrible. I think I2 is waaay to forgiving for that stone. It looks horrible.

I have bought off of ebay but I buy vintage which is totally different! In fact my last was an e-bay find for dirt cheap due to it being part of an estate sale. However when I go into jewelry stores to look around for every day jewelry or get something cleaned I get tons of compliments on it. Mine is cut with a lot of fire and life to it (transition cut) so when I walk into a store like that it just lights up!

I feel so bad for those on e-bay who have no idea what they are really getting. I cannot imagine how anyone could be happy with that.

I don''t understand how people fall for such obvious crap. I would''ve thought people had more of an eye.

Holy Moley, that''s bad looking! I almost feel sorry for it...

lol... now that''s funny.

Sorry, I just puked in my mouth a little. Rock salt ring!

I genuinely wonder who buys these diamonds. Clearly someone who has never actually seen a diamond.

Along those lines, I think this is also horrific. I mean, I am sure someone is like: "Oh, yes, I am in looking to drop 1.5 million on a pair of earrings, but I don''t care if I see actual photos of them or not. . ."

For less than $3 mil, some lucky PSer could get the mystery studs, the lovely pair, and the original ring. Who''s it gonna be?!

It''s perfect if carat is the only C you care about.

The ugly diamonds that are cheap on eBay, I get. Those $$$$$$ items on there, I don''t. If I had that kind of coin, I surely would not be trolling eBay for jewelry.

If someone is foolish enough to buy that...well... then... they deserve to wear something that looks like rock salt

I''m trying to think of a reason WHY someone may purchase that diamond... can''t think of one yet.

1 min 2 seconds left with 2 bids at $650

THAT''s more shocking then the diamond

Sooo ugly!

I have to admit I bought a diamond on ebay back in highschool. Actually my mom bought it for me. It was a 1.02 carat diamond solitaire with a classic six prong yellow gold setting. Not sure of the color (probably J) I2 Clarity..I think she paid around $300 for it! lol. SO embarrasing looking back now. I''ll have to post pictures one day (It''s pretty awful) I was looking at it this week and laughing at how clueless I was then.

Oh no! And someone actually bought it!

Have you ever noticed many of those "bought" rings go back up for auction again?
