Earring Setting -- Confused as to Basket, Martini or Girdle?

I have a pair of 2.05 total carat weight earrings picked out that have a 3 prong basket setting. The jeweler is willing to redo to martini...but I have also seen a girdle setting that looks like it would encompasses the best features of both. The girdle shows a shallower setting than the martini (more like a half-round) so it would nestle into your ear, but not as much as the martini might. My piercings were done by a friend and are long & thin so I try to avoid any unnecessary weight on my ears (no wires or heavy danglers) since they hang a little low. Any thoughts on which might be best before I make my final selection?

I have never heard of a girdle setting. Is is perhaps a bezel setting? I personally like my 4 prong basket settings, but I only like them when the diamonds are set pretty low. The base of the basket is flat and cannot slip into the hole.

Yes, I too really like those settings that Bliss has.

OP I am not sure what you are describing. Can you post photos of similar settings?
