earring projects

What do you think, have them built or not?
(1) sapphire, spress and zircon

Would you set them as is - all three together - or would you have three individual pairs made?

(3) zircon, tourmaline (the tourmalines do look better than the pictures show)

I thought to set as shown, as dangles, what do you think? I have all but one of the stones to do so.

I like the zircon and tourmalines too. I also like the two sapphires, but I'd flip the top pear so that the points face each other.

I too prefer the two sapphires, and have the top one turned upside down, so that the two points are pointing at each other.

I like the tourmalines & zircon, unusual & cool. The sapphires too, love the colors together -- & like the idea of turning the top one around so they're point to point. What about using the spesses with something yellow -- mali garnet, citrine, yellow sapphire?

Where are the tourms up to please? Did you complete those?

How about setting the upper pear as a stud and the bottom one as a removable jacket/dangle? Then you can have alternate stones to wear with them.

The tourmaline/zircon project hit a snag. Four of the five jewelers I asked said they didn't want to do the project and the fifth said yes but the price was three times what I had expected. On the last two projects I used a new bench jeweler and I will ask him about this project next time I'm at his shop.
