Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the dye without harming the stone? I use crystals a lot for healing and unforunately a lot of the new age stores don''t advertise the fact that the holite is dyed. Quite a few people I know have been suckered into buying these stones and wish to remove the dye. Is there and safe way that anyone knows about?

Hard to tell... you would need to soak the piece with a solvent of the dye used. Since the dy is not known, finding the right remover sounds like quite a pain. You could try a range of solvents at hand, but given how porous that stone is, I sincerely doubt all of it could be removed.

However, undyed howlite is dirt cheap !
