During a routine physical, a lump was detected in my right breast. I've had the ultrasound and mammogram and was originally scheduled for a biopsy on July 16. Just now the doctor phoned and the new date is tomorrow morning at 10am.

If you could send some healthy PS dust, it would be wonderful and encouraging. :wavey:

dust prayers and thoughts for tomorrow

Big time dust. I went through the same thing last year. I was panicked. I posted here and got tons of support. My biopsy showed a benign fibronoma. No cancer, phew! Sending you the same dust that you also have a benign result.

Dust and good thoughts! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *

Lots of dust, and remember, they are almost always benign.

Sending dust for benign results your way.

Hey Isaku, LOTS of dust for you!!

I have been down this road a time or three and here's some stuff for you:

Sounds like you'll have a core needle biopsy. They don't hurt that much or take that long. Recommend you wear a zip front or button front top to the procedure, not a pullover top. If you have long hair, put it in a scrunchy. They will probably give you an ice pack afterwards. Have some additional ice packs in your freezer ready to go when you get home. Have a supportive, but not overly tight bra on hand which you will want for the next couple days afterwards (sports bras are often good). Definitely recommend you get some treats for yourself stocked in your kitchen for when you get home - you deserve it!

Fear not, focus on your breath, keep still and it will be over soon! Hope it's nothing!

A BIG thank you going out to iLander, Haven, Dancing Fire, Deco, Skippy, asscherisme, GemFever, lulu, marypoppins and Beacon!!! :wavey:

I'm not very nervous - just looking forward to having it over. :appl: :wavey:

Thanks Enerchi, stargurl, rubybeth and Circe. :appl:

On a positive note, there is only one instance of b/c in my family: my great aunt on my mom's side. She was a formidable woman with a great sense of humour. Many many years ago, her treatment consisted of a complete mastectomy including all the lymph nodes under her arm. I remember that her arm was very swollen and strangely she could eat only plain soda crackers and milk; nevertheless, she always cooked an amazing meal for the rest of us

Sending bucketloads of ***dust*** your way isaku! And lots of positive energy and good thoughts!!!!
