I lost a kitty when I was a little girl and was completely crushed by it. He was an indoor/outdoor cat and one day he was just gone. Three months later I heard meowing outside and opened the door and he ran in! He was thin as a rail and his collar was missing... we thought the neighbors had taken and dumped him somewhere maybe... so it does happen... but more than likely if he''s a lap cat he''s going to find THE lap to sit in. He will either try to find you or fall in love with someone else along the way. You may never know what happens to him, but I would always hold out hope that he found the perfect lap to spend the rest of his life in if he doesn''t find his way back to yours.
That said, you have all my dust.
What a precious photo!!! My heart is with you as you search for your Poncho. Prayers for a positive outcome!Date: 9/15/2009 7:24:55 PM

Here''s a picture of him. He did this on the bed EVERY TIME my fiance came home from work. He''d race my FI to the bedroom, then while FI was changing, he''d roll frantically from side to side begging for attention. Like ''Look! My belly! You haven''t scritched it ALL DAY! Didn''t you miss me? Didn''t you!?!?''
I really hope it''s him!!! ***DUST***Date: 9/16/2009 9:46:59 PM

Update: I got a call tonight from a woman in my grandma''s town! I''m not 100% sure it''s Poncho, but it sounds promising. She said she''s had a really friendly tuxedo cat that hangs out on her back porch in the morning and evening. She said he''s wearing a collar with a little tag (which Poncho had). She''s going to see if he''s there in the morning and then she''ll call me if she can read the tag. If it''s him, she said she''d lock him in her garage until I can get there.
The only thing that has me thinking it might not be him is that she said she thought he''d been hanging around for longer than a week. Today would officially be one week that he''s been out, so I''m a little concerned it might not be him. But she said he''s super friendly and he''s always trying to get inside the house with her. Fingers crossed that the dust worked and I''ll have my Ponchy back!
It is an awful feeling to lose a cat. I hope that Poncho is safe and happy in the woman''s garage.Date: 9/16/2009 9:46:59 PM
