Really? You are one of the few who do! I love love love the back...but i''m not sure about the front (which may be due to not fitting right maybe?).Date: 9/27/2007 8:08:55 AM

i love love love #4!! my least favorite is #3.
Really...that is interesting! I would love to see a picture of you in your Marisa...did you buy it in a store or did you get it from netbride?Date: 9/27/2007 12:05:47 AM

yep, after trying on more than 200 dresses (seriously), i went with the marisa. the funny thing is that i have small waist and a serious booty; i''m pretty darned pear-shaped, and i avoided anything remotely mermaid-cut like the plague. but i had liked another marisa style, so the woman in the store brought this one over for me to try... i looked at it on the hanger and thought, ''heeeelll no!'' in fact, as i stepped into it, i believe my exact words were ''this may be a disaster of epic proportions.'' i was surprised that it''s actually not a true mermaid cut - it''s straight to the knee, rather than curving in along the thighs, if that makes sense. that could be why you don''t love it, if you''re searching for a true mermaid shape. anyway, enough analysis about the dress! it''s supposed to come in in january for my march wedding - so that''s probably not enough time to help you out.
anyway, i can totally relate to not finding the dress right away. i was convinced i''d never find anything i loved, and i like fashion, so i was pretty disappointed as i searched. i also was pretty reluctant to spend, oh, about $400 to $500 PER HOUR to wear something i felt iffy about... i''m not a tear shedding type, but you shouldn''t have reservations about your wedding dress - it''s probably the most photographed thing you''ll ever wear, if for no other reason! (which is another thing about those sashes - they''re pretty of-the-moment. not particularly classic, if you care about that.)
Thanks Chelle! I really liked it too! I like the rouching across my midsection and if the top fit better, I think it would look better too. I''m still not certain if it is ''the one'' but I did like walking around the store in it!!Date: 9/27/2007 1:37:59 AM

Okay I tried on a few more...these are the only two pics I was able to get...sorry they are dark. I was trying to not get caught!!
They are both Barbra Allin gowns...<----that''s my mouth dropping open! OMG! October!!! I absolutely love this dress, especially on you (the first Barbra Allin)!!! All the dresses you''ve tried on have been pretty, but I think this one is fantastic. And it''s very flattering. The other dresses you tried on were nice as well, but then I saw the pic of you in this one and BAM! Hot bod! lol You totally rock this dress and I think you have an amazing figure for it.![]()

P.S. Did you get to sneak any pics of you at Lea-Ann Belter? I bet you looked amazing in those too!

That first Barbara Allen looks stunning on you!Which dress did YOU like best?![]()
Hi! Not sure on the prices for the Barba Allin gowns (or what your budget is), but Watters makes one almost identical to that one (9052b). It runs about $800-$900. My sister wore the watters one for her wedding!Date: 9/26/2007 10:19:01 PM

(in this pic, the girl''s hair is in the way, but i promise it is the same sweetheart neckline on top!)
Thanks Ginger! It isn''t meant to have a sash...so i think that is why it looks out of place and choppy...you didn''t think the dress drew too much attention to my hips?Date: 9/27/2007 6:02:04 PM

I like #4 the best! BUt I''m not sure I like such a contrasting color for the sash...maybe no sash vs paler sash like in a champagne-y color? Or a wider sash?
Ditto that. You look sophisticated and hour glassed and STUNNING. And I don''t LIKE mermaid gowns. But that one is made for you!Date: 9/27/2007 6:32:03 PM

That first Barbara Allin blows everything else out of the competition, IMO. The mermaid style (that one, at least) is *PERFECT* on you.
Ditto - it is gorgeous on you. I really don''t like anything else that much, but this one just looks stunning.Date: 9/27/2007 6:32:03 PM

i don''t think so. the material skims over your hips very nicely i think, and i adore how it flows in the back. and you''re right, the dress isn''t fitting well right now so it''s hard to say. isn''t it aggravating how we have to guess at how a dress would look if it fit right? fit is soooo important and you can''t even have it for what is a top contender for the most important dress of your life!Date: 9/27/2007 6:38:48 PM
