Hello, just wondering if I could get honest opinions here. Does this band look alright with my e-ring? I wanted something different, not matchy and something that I could wear alone if I needed to. So how does it look? Are the stones on the band too big? Thanks for your opinions!

I think the stones in the wband are too big, but that''s just according to my taste.

Not loving it with your ering, your ering is the kind that can stand alone. If I wore a band with it, it would be a very thin bead set type band. The band is gorgeous, can you wear it on your right hand??

beautiful rings....I''ll be honest, if they were mine, I''d get a thin band, or none at all to go with it. I don''t think it looks bad though, it''s just my preference. I do think it would look better with a thinner one though

What is a bead set band look like? I tried on thin ones, but they just didn''t look right. Maybe I should have sent with .25 band instead. It is so hard to find a band that goes well with this ring. Any suggestions?

I agree that it needs a thin band. Is that a Hearts on Fire setting? I''d check their bands first. A bead set band would have metal on the sides and the stones would be set down into the band. The band in my avatar is bead set, but it is thinner in real life than it looks in the picture.

They are both gorgeous rings but I don''t think I''d wear them together. I agree maybe a thin band would look good with your ering.

Thanks for being honest everyone. Yes, it is a Hearts on Fire setting. They do have a band that curves along the setting, but I don''t like how that looks. I guess I''ll have to keep looking.

You might try a plain band. Your ring is so lovely it''s probably going to be hard to find something that compliments it.

Honestly, I''m not loving it. The stones are too big for my comfort. Your e-ring is so delicate that a simple white gold or platinum band would be the perfect finishing touch of elegance. That''s JMHO though.

I think that if my e-ring could stand alone then I might just keep the other ring to wear when I can''t wear my e-ring. I need to put on and take off a lot of gloves. I was worried about a band from the get go, but my fiance loved the setting and so did I. I don''t want to add anything that will take away from it, but I do like the bling factor.

Galley, are you in the medical field? I''m a nurse and have the same issue with gloves, so much so that I cannot wear my e-ring to work. We had a code blue come in and I actually lost my ring in the patient while doing chest compressions.

I found it though! Since then, I haven''t worn it to work. When we get married I''ll wear a plain white gold band to work and save my diamond band for nights on the town. This may work for you also.

I like that idea.

I love both rings, but if it were my wedding band, wear one similar in style and width as your engagement ring. Its stunning. I''d wear that particular band... on my right hand!

Ditto SDL! keep that one for the RH and get a thinner one with the ering - Loving the setting btw.

I was thinking the same way, if you like the band wear it alone or as a RHR and get a thinner band but I like bling and I think you may sometimes wear the three of them together on special days and events.
by the way, I think the band is lovely

Actually I really like it. I''m a fan of non-matchy and I think this looks great together. A thin bead-set band would be beautiful but would be very matchy. Depends what you want I guess.

I like it though!

I guess I am going to be different by saying this... no they don''t match but they do look good together. I think it''s pretty together!
Wear it together if you like. :-)

I like it too - but I am a non-matchy person I think. It really comes down to whether or not you are happy with them together. After all, it''s you who has to wear them.

If you don''t love them together though, I second the thought of wearing a band on the other hand, although I am a traditional girl and would only want to wear my wedding band on my ring finger. Just my 2 cents though.

Your ering is to die for though!!

I''ve just bought a split shank ring and I am thinking about a wedding band to wear with it. I love DiamondSeeker''s Tiffany band. I think something like that would go better with your ring.... not that I don''t think the band you have isn''t gorgeous - it is! Perhaps wear it on the other hand

They are both beautiful. I''m just not crazy about them together. What do YOU think?

I absolutely love both rings!!! so please keep this gorgeous band (or send it to me

) !
But, the stones on the band are quite big... it does not really overwhelm your e-ring (because it has a really good size too) but in my opinion it could be too much for every day. Anyway, to wear only the band it would be perfect. My opinion is definitely keep it (and wear it alone or when you want some extra bling AND get a 2nd band with smaller stones for every day wear. That could be the same type of band just smaller (then it''s like a set and you can wear them stacked as well)- I think that would be the best idea. You can include both wedding rings in the ceremony, so they''ll be both your "official" wedding rings and the problem is solved!

I like that ering by itself. Any band takes away from the beautiful shape of a split shank.

I know I am in the minority here....but I think the ring goes really well with the ering.

If it feels comfortable go with it!

Honestly, I''m torn...

My eyes go from the ering to the band..the ering to the band... the ering to the band...

The band *might* overpower your beautiful ering just a bit... a smidge... but I do like the contrast.

*scrolls down and looks at pic again*

Yep, thin bead set band would be sometihng I would consider... I think it would "flow" better and really showcase your centre stone and split shank...

First, both rings are beautiful. I do think the band detracts from your engagement ring when worn together. I have an e-ring I wear alone - I wouldn''t have dreamed of this when I got married 10 yrs ago, now it''s no big deal. I wear my WB on my right hand and switch it to the left if I''m doing something that could damage my e-ring. If you do want a band with it, I''d pick something thin and simple so it doesn''t compete with that firecracker e-ring! The other posters have good suggestions.

I had a similar issue - I decided to go with the blingy eternity band and wear it on a different hand. However I am hoping that someday I get a thin band to match to wear once in a while.

Here is a pic of mrssalvo trying on a split shank with a thin band (hope you don''t mind!) that I think may help you envision it with a thin band...

Both Your rings look stunning...on their own, I would go for a thinner, maybe 2mm pave band to wear with the engagemen ring? Like someone else mentioned, similar to Diamondseekers band. I would keep the shared prong band for the days when You don't want to wear the ER....if that ever happens....

I''m not crazy about the two rings together either but I''m a matchy-matchy person. I like the look on Mrs. Salvo''s hand. But I''m not the one who has to wear the set. Suggest you keep trying on brands - you''ll find one you like. Or you might find that you like the ring without a band. Good luck with your search.

I love the single shared prong band, but not necessarily with your beautiful engagement ring. I''d wear the shared prong band either alone, or on my right hand (if you''re lucky enough to have both ring fingers close in size and can switch hands).

I would order a pave'' band in the size as the diamonds on your split shank to wear with your e-ring.

Maybe it''s because it''s been ages since my engagement and wedding, but some days I don''t feel like wearing my wedding set and having a five or seven stone to wear on those days doesn''t compromise the bling factor.
