I''''m looking at an OEC and have all the specs including Pavilian and Crown angles. Can the Holloway cut advisor still be used on an OEC? If so, it''''s scoring around a 1.8 within FIC.
Yes and no. Mine also came up as a good FIC but it is a really a transitional stone.
Some very pretty OECs are very deep (due to the high crown) and get dinged by the HCA. The large culet is also dinged by the HCA. In old cut stones, the pattern is very important - it should have a mosiac look to it. Have you seen the stone?
