Do you stack wedding rings or split them?

Ladies,

Can you very quickly let me know if you wear your wedding rings stacked on one finger, or split them over left & right hands?

My eternity ring has just been re-set & during the 3 months of not being able to wear it / having it at the Jeweller, I have got used to the simple look of my plain wedding ring with my solitaire. Its unfussy & classy. Whilst the eternity looks GREAT stacked with them, I am craving the simple wedding & solitaire look & have popped my eternity on my RH.

But.... I feel they should be worn as a set!

Quick fire answers - what rings do YOU wear on each hand?!

I don't wear rings on my right hand, and I usually just wear one band with my ring on my left - the exception is a new to me Tiffany ring I got for Christmas, I feel it looks better worn with 2 bands, gives it a more substantial look on my finger. I guess I'm not much help :cheeky: I think you should wear your rings in whatever way is pleasing to your eye! You can always switch back and forth, just for variety.

I wear my e-ring plus w-band on my left ring finger. My e-ring is narrow-ish (1.5 or 2 mm) and my w-band is plain gold (no stones, no nothing just gold band) in the same width.

Nothing on my right hand. Have to lose weight so my sapphire/diamond ring fits again...

I either wear my wedding set OR my eternity, together they are 8mm+ and that's just too much for my short fingers, lol.

I wear no rings on my right hand. All are stacked on my left ring finger only.

I wear my ER and 2 WBs on my left hand only. Any ring I (rarely) wear on my right hand are non wedding rings.

I too prefer the look of a plain band with a solitaire. It exudes effortless elegance and simplicity. But I also love my eternity bands, so if I want to mix it up I just add a diamond band (or two!) to my wedding set. I rarely wear any rings on my right hand, but if I do, they're fun costume pieces.

I wear both rings on my left hand, I have right hand rings but I find that I hardly wear them, for whatever reason I just don't find them comfortable, but I just don't have the heart to get rid of them yet.

When I don't have a rhr sometimes I wear my rings split up when my fingers feel extra puffy..

Also every once and a while I love the look of my e ring alone, so I split it up then.

Typically though I wear them together.

I can't wear a right hand ring at work so that isn't an option most days. I usually wear my solitaire and two bands on my left hand most days. At home I wear my solitaire and my plain band on the weekends.

None of my rings match.

Right hand:
engagement ring if my left hand is taken up (half carat with tapered baguettes in 14K WG) - original engagement ring

Left hand:
wide platinum filigree wedding ring
or
3m titanium wedding ring
or
1/3 carat OEC filigree WG with sapphire sides

If I'm ditching my original wedding ring(s) I also have a french cut sapphire ring and a 2m palladium ring which can be paired with my engagement ring so I sometimes wear 1 of those with my engagement ring on my left hand. Nothing matches and only the palladium or sapphire band can stack with my engagement ring.

I have super short fingers and about 8 wedding/anniversary rings and 2 solitaires in rotation. It looks bad when I stack more than a solitaire and band on my ring finger, but I don't care. I'll stick on my 7 stone too sometimes because I like all the sparkle. It covers my finger and looks like an eternity ring of .15 stones. On my right hand I wear only one ring, a 5 stone bezeled band. I don't wear rings on any other fingers. Do what please you most.

I have many different bands (channel set, shared prong, fishtail pave) with different size diamonds from 1 to 12 pointers.. After I got my Vatche Serenity and matching band, I was wearing that band with a 1mm spacer stacked with my pear ering. But most recently I have just been wearing the spacer with my ering for an understated look.

Thank you for your replies everyone!

I am still switching my rings around & haven't settled with them yet  Most of the eternally glamorous mums at school & my friends wear everything stacked on the wedding finger, but my eyes are always drawn to a mum who wears a plain Tiffany wedding & solitaire, with her Tiffany shared prtong on her right hand, and another mum at swimming club who does the same with hers. She has a Cartier eternity on her RH (not that I've asked her about them, of course  ) and they look effortless & beautiful.

But.... I have always thought they should be worn as a set! Argghh! I switch them several times a day, so I have a plan: I am going to wear the eternity on my RH for a week, with no swapping, to see if it starts to feel 'normal'....
