Ah yes! Drops can then be larger because the base of the ear lobe doesn't get in the way. Gotcha! At the right length the curve of the edge of the diamond would contour nicely to the neck. That does sound like a better plan
In seriousness, I've not yet seen drops that I *had to have*. When I reach the next size - and the last four pairs have all been at least double in size so I'm hoping to strike it rich and get to 3.4 ctw next, haha - then I was planning to turn these into drops. I just need to find drop styles that I covet first.
