I hardly ever carry cash, I try to exclusively use my debit card. But, on the rare occasions I do carry some cash, it goes in my pocket. I've been anti-purse/wallet since going back to school. It's just too much crap to worry about. FI carries his in his wallet.

Wait, people still carry cash? What in heavens for?

My MIL has hundreds of dollars in cash on her at all times. This BOGGLES my mind. Loose $50 bills just floating in her purse. I'd crap myself if I thought I lost a $50 bill. If I loose my debit card, it's simple enough to cancel and replace it without actually losing the money. Once you lose a $50... it's lost!

not if someone got hold of your pass word then they can can drain every penny out of your account.

I think some banks (mine in particular) reimburse you for fraudant withdrawals. That said, I only use my debit card when there is a discount for not paying cc. Otherwise I use cc and pay off every month so I get rewards as well!
