in the front pocket of your pants? how about your SO?

I carry cash in my wallet. DH carries notes in his wallet and coins in his pocket.

Me pocket, him wallet.

I carry money in my purse or in my pocket, hubby carries it in his wallet

Whatever money I have on my I carry in my wallet in my purse--- typically iput eveythi on debit cards or on my credit card and then pay it off each month.

My dh carries his cash separate from his cards in his front left pocket. I carry it in my wallet in my purse.

Me - wallet in handbag

Him - wallet in back pocket

Me: Wallet in handbag.
DH: Wallet in back pocket.

I really wish I could find a wallet JUST like the one I already have
which is getting pretty old and ugly,
but has ALL the spaces I need for all my cards, checkbook, coins,
money. Etc. I am going to use my wallet until it totally falls apart,
but it does look terrible when I pull this crazy wallet out of my designer handbag.... sigh.

I don't carry cash....FI carries in his wallet.

I carry them in my wallet..

I don't really carry cash with me very often, since I just use a debit card for most things. If I carry cash, there is sometimes an overwhelming temptation to exchange it for a packet of cigarettes, even though it's many years now since I quit smoking. Whatever cash I do have goes In my pocket. I don't carry a wallet. I have no real idea what DH does, I never paid attention.

Depends. Mostly inside my wallet in a bigg-ish tote purse. Sometimes I take a tiny shoulder bag and then I'll just throw in a credit card and a couple of bank notes. But that is always a pain in the butt with coins because I don't have a separate coin purse.

ETA: Forgot about DH. He carries notes in a clip...coins in his pocket.

+1 -- I generally don't have a lot of cash with me.

Haha - I do wonder how many people generally carry no cash. I carry like $10 "just in case" and a few ones. Other than that...no cash....ever!!

Wait, people still carry cash? What in heavens for?

this may surprise you but before you were born CC and ATM cards weren't common.

The most I carry is $20.00. I have been carrying the same $20 bill for 3 months. DH carries his wallet in his back pocket and it is packed with receipts and about $50.00.

I always carry cash in my wallet, I used to do the pocket thing...but I lost $150 by doing that one day, and since then I've never put more than $5 in my pocket! SO carries his things in a wallet as well!

DH carries his wallet in his front pocket, neither of us ever tend to have cash. I have been trying to remember to withdraw about 20 a week to try to keep some on me, but I end up using it for a lunch or something and then back at none!

sometimes i carry wallet in front pocket and sometimes i carry just a credit card,$20, and drivers license in pocket.never put wallet in back pocket...security,more comfortable sitting down and wont create a fade line in jeans when put in front pocket.

I'm more a debit card kind of girl although I keep a hundred or so in my wallet 'just in case'...

DH carries cash in his wallet which is usually in his pocket unless he's home and leaves it on the counter---which means it ends up in my hands bc I like to replenish my 'emergancy cash' with his money :naughty:

Its kind of a running joke between us. He's fine with it though bc when I go to the ATM, I will use the closest instead of our bank and the ATM fees drive him NUTS!

This.

Too easy to lose and getting actual change back is a pain. (that sounds sad, but it is just so bulky and dirty!)

I do keep a couple of dollars worth of quarters in the car to pay for "parking" when we need to cut through the park.

My MIL has hundreds of dollars in cash on her at all times. This BOGGLES my mind. Loose $50 bills just floating in her purse. I'd crap myself if I thought I lost a $50 bill. If I loose my debit card, it's simple enough to cancel and replace it without actually losing the money. Once you lose a $50... it's lost!

Me: purse/wallet
S/O: Wallet in his front pocket of his jeans >:P

We carry cash because we frequent pho and asian establishments that only take cash.

not if someone got hold of your pass word then they can can drain every penny out of your account.

DF, you sound like my grandmother! I never use a debit card because i dont get anything back. I use a CC, pay it off each month in full, and get my rewards. And that debt thing you're concerned about? it's called self control... Only spend what you have in your checking acct. It's not that hard.

i use CCs too and i'd pay it off every month, but some of the Asian stores and restaurants i frequent don't take CCs.

After being caught in a black out in Manahattan with no cash - no ATMS working-- walking 5 miles with no water or any respite - I now carry cash, around $50 - $100 for emergencies- you never know!
