Do emerald cuts, like asschers, also get categorized as wide step, bright drop, narrow step?

That is the different types, right, or am I missing any? Thanks.
 
yes they do.

Those are the basics but there is different looks in each category.

narrow step should really be called multi-step because the RA style the white parts are wider than the dark either that RA is a separate category.
It depends on how you look at it.

Keep in mind that those are not industry terms outside of PS.
I made them up to describe the different looks.

RA is royal Asscher.

multiple wide steps separated by thin contrast areas.
