Hi everyone! We are shopping for a 3.5ct round diamond for my engagement ring and I wanted to run a couple by you all. My jeweler picked these out for us but the dimensions are throwing me off, it seems a bit small/average for the carat size but I’m new to this world so I may be off! Does one of these look better than the other? Or keep looking? Any help would be appreciated.
3.5ct (scored 1 on HCA)
Ideal/excellent hearts & arrows
9.61 - 9.67 X 5.99 MM
58% face
62.1 depth
Crown angle 36
Pavilion angle 40.5
3.46ct (scored 1.4 on HCA)
Ideal/excellent hearts & arrows
9.66 - 9.68 x 5.99 mm
57% face
61.9 depth
Crown angle 35
Pavilion angle 40.8
I also heard that 0-1 on the HCA could mean a more shallow diamond which would mean it would be darker when looking at it up close, but I know it’s not a perfect science.
Thank you!!
