Do any MRB proportions apply to fancy shapes?

Curious if any MRB recommended proportions carry over and apply to fancy cuts?

How does one evaluate a fancy shape's cut other than visually and with an ASET?

sadly not. That's why all of us tell new posters who are looking at fancy shapes that they need images/videos and ASET if possible. Because one just can't evaluate fancy cuts with numbers alone.

No. But honestly, I find that easier. You can pick what looks visually nice to you.

It's not a dig on the modern round brilliant threads, but all of the nitty gritty details about what angles complement the other angles kind of make my head hurt. I feel like I'm back in math class. I have only ever purchased one pair of modern rounds for a pair of stud earrings many years ago. I spent so much time trying to pick out stones and for me, I did not enjoy the process of shopping for modern rounds. I found it extremely frustrating, so I'm actually glad to evaluate by my eyes! With that said, I do look for general guidelines with certain stones, but it's mostly visual for me because I'm an old cut buyer.

Technically, yes, but very very limited.
Realistically, no.

Thought this was an interesting article, specific to Princess cuts:
