dirt under prongs?

After having a diamond reset, I can see small black hair-like marks when I look through the table, but not the sides. Actually, I think it is only one spot that is reflecting around in there. I think it/they are metal shards from rough edges of the prongs. I wish that a cleaning could solve the problem, but I'm sure another reset is in order. Has anyone else had this problem with a new basket?

I think there was someone on this board that did! It wasn''t me and I can''t remember her name but she had gotten a very expensive diamond then after it was set she thought she saw an inclusion. It turned out to be dirt!!!
Take it in and show the person who set it for you. Maybe they can steam it out?

Thanks for responding. I think I''ll see what the jeweler can do with it next week when I pick up my 2 new diamond bands for either side of the ring.
