Dirt/gunk between the girdle and setting that I can't clean?

Those look handy for lots of things.

Not afraid to say I've used them (usually covered in cleaning fluid of course!) long as its not the hard plastic ones they do work very well for tiny little places. have also used them on my phone (hey multi use right?? )

just sounds like a mechanical cleaning versus chemical one is in order for OP's ring.
