Digital calipers...

Hey there, thinking of buying these digital calipers. Does anyone know if this size is going to work out for measuring set stones? Does anyone own one and recommend them? It says you can use it on jewelry but I want to be sure I am getting the appropriate one. Thanks!

I got mine at Harbor Freight for 12 bucks...they work great to measure my stones..Pittsburgh 6" composite diital caliper

I have this one from amazon. I use it to measure the shanks on my rings, the caliper part is sharp not sure it it would scratch your stones or not. however it works for my need plus it was under $12 and free ship when I added other items to get to $25.
