Hi everyone, I'll be getting a solitaire diamond pendant (so excited :)) ) from BGD or possibly WF for my birthday and I was wondering if I could ask for help with the setting. I'm thinking of going platinum and with a RB stone around 0.5 ct just so that I can wear it basically all the time.

However, would you ladies recommend a pendant that slides on a chain or that is fixed? What is the best style to reduce flipping?
My DH and I went to try pendants at Tiffany yesterday and for some reason the fixed bezel just kept flipping...

Thank you so much for your advice! Greatly appreciated!

My bezel fixed bezel from bgd does not flip but it does slide towards the right. I had it for a month now and I prob move it to the middle every hour. It is beautiful tho but they part is annoying. It is .35 s maybe it slides since I prefer my right and it is very light and dainty. But, I really do love it. My 70 year old mom loves mine do much thst dye had to have one. We ordered her a .50 and cannot wait until it arrives.

Thanks so much for your reply Staceyjan! I am so glad to hear your pendant doesn't flip as I am really leaning toward the bezel from BGD as well. The information about moving off-centre is very helpful, thank you!
How exciting about a pendant coming for your mom! Would love to see it when it arrives!

Yeah, I'm not loving fixed chains right now. I have them on two of my necklaces and I'm constantly checking and adjusting.

Mine do not flip either. One was done by BGD (link here: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-new-odds-and-ends-necklace-by-bgd.158058/ )

This is by BGD, I'd get this design if I were you:

That one is Diamondseeker's pendant.

Here is an entire thread of pendants to look through: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/show-me-your-diamond-pendant.151094/page-4

Thank you for your advice Gypsy. Both yours and Diamodseeker's necklaces are gorgeous and the pendant thread was very helpful (and beautiful) too.

I was also wondering what stone to choose. My soft spot is generally the G VS2 combination (ideal cut) but how low would you go for a pendant stone? I SI1 maybe? The Aussie dollar is not doing that well at the moment so I need to cut cost where I can but at the same time don't want to have any regrets. Thanks so much once again!

Do you have a Hearts on Fire or Tiffany nearby? Go see the I color and even J color at HoF and chose for yourself what works. I xan tell you what is right for me but not what is right fir you. I'd be happy with K I1 that was eyeclean. It's a pendant not a ring.

You need to pick for yourself.
