I just looked down and noticed that a diamond is missing out of my wedding band, a prong-set eternity band with 2-point diamonds. I have no idea where it is. While it is insured by AAA, since it's such a small diamond I'm not certain whether I'd be better off going through insurance or getting it replaced myself at a local store. My husband purchased it from a reputable e-tailer about 6 years ago. Any ideas about my next step? Thanks so much!!

Just find a good jewelry store local to you with a good reputation that does their repairs in house (in house bench). Take it in and they will replace it for you. I agree that it is not worth going through insurance for this repair.

I am sorry to hear that. Definitely find someone you can trust locally to replace it.

Sorry to hear that, I don't mean to worry you but It would probably be best not to wear the ring anymore untill you get it checked out by a jeweler.
It may be that this diamond has just fallen out due to bad luck but it also might have came out due to the ring flexing, if it came out due to bending or other damage to the ring then chances are that other diamonds are loose and in danger of falling out also.

It's also easy to do damage to the exposed prongs if you wear it with the diamond missing.

Best of luck.

I am sorry to hear that.
