For a bit of fun;
a) how many diamond jewellry do you wear EVERYDAY
b) how many diamond jewellry MUST you have in your collection..

definition of diamond jewellery- anything that blings...hehehehe
For me:
a) Wearing every day:
1) one for each hand--> 2 in total
2) earrings- one set

b) Must haves:
I am working on an eternity band
necklace: um.. trying to work it into collection.. with jewellry, i always wear it and to me at the moment, a diamond necklace is nice but not necessarily a must have...

Looking forward to reading results.

a) how many diamond jewellry do you wear EVERYDAY
VC Emily halo ering everyday with 2 matching eternity bands (will be two when the other one arrives on saturday  )
DBTY necklace by BGD .50ctw
Cartier Love bracelet with 4 diamonds (I think the total weight is around 1ctw)

Those are my staples. I usually wear a RHR that is blingy but I go between 7-9 of them. They are all colored stone centers except i have a 4.75ct eternity band

b) how many diamond jewellry MUST you have in your collection..
Working on a 3 stone (3ctw) RHR with SK right now. Just trying to iron out the details
I'm debating on studs but my MIL has a 2.0ct set that she lets me borrow so I'm sort of in between on that one.

a) I do not wear anything on a consistent basis other than my earrings for worry the holes will close up. :cheeky: I think I am one of the very few who dislike the feel of wearing a ring all day long. Even if I do wear a ring, I always remove it at the office and place it atop my laptop where I can admire it all day long.

b) No must haves, I don't think. I've got solitaires, 3 stone, pendants, earrings, eternity band, you name it.

The pieces I wear everyday are my wedding set and my diamond studs.

Must haves would be the above pieces plus a versatile necklace (solitaire pendant, DBTY necklace, etc), at least one RHR, and jackets or drops to add to studs to dress them up.

1 must have - earrings.
I usually wear earrings and an engagement style ring.

I feel self-conscience wearing a diamond necklace, even if it's 1/5 carat (though I'm fine wearing 1.66 diamond earrings!). To be honest, I'm not not sure I need any more diamonds. I would like another larger diamond ring, but I love my earrings and ring and don't feel the need for more.

I never leave the house without my wedding set on my left hand, a different ring on my right hand, earrings, a necklace, a little silver ankle bracelet I wear all the time, and sometimes a bracelet. They're not all diamonds though; in fact, I rarely wear diamonds except for the wedding set. I wear mostly colored stones, sometimes with diamond accents, and usually save my diamonds for special occasions.

b) how many diamond jewellry MUST you have in your collection..

I'm a jewelry hoarder, so I've kept almost everything I've bought. I highly value variety in a collection. I can't even begin to count, but I'm not rich, so each piece is quite inexpensive compared to some of the big ornate pieces I've seen here. For example, I keep all colored stone purchases under $300 and usually have them set in silver to save money.

ETA: I'm the opposite of Chrono with rings. I feel naked without one on each ring finger.

I MUST wear earrings and a band every day. Earrings aren't always diamonds, band is usually my (plain) wedding band.

My "dream wants" are Ering and studs, and I've got those so the rest is icing ::)

I always wear my ER and eternity WB, my diamond Rolex or Cartier tank and one of my pairs of earrings before I leave the house. Sometimes I wear a necklace too. On non-work occasions I might add one of my diamond bracelets and a right hand ring. But for everyday it's mainly ER, WB, Rolex, and earrings. And as soon as I return home it all comes off. I hate wearing jewelry at home. Much more comfie at home without it.

I have no must haves besides what I already have. But I enjoy jewelry and enjoy shopping so I do tend to make jewelry purchases a few times a year at least. Some more expensive than others. I always choose jewelry as my gift from my dh for the holidays, VD, anniversary and my birthday.

Jstar,
You can move your fingers individually with a ring on each finger? Wow, your hands must be quite a sight, dripping with gems like a queen. :naughty:

I must wear my anniversary band and solitaire every day. I wear my diamond studs 99% of the time. I don't have all the diamond jewelry I want yet.

I wear my wedding set (solitaire and plain band) and diamond studs every day. Sometimes I'll wear a pendant as well.

The only other piece I'd like to get is a thin diamond band to wear with my solitaire.

I always wear my engagement ring and half eternity band as a set and my plain wedding band on my right hand...Actually, most of the times i don't even take them off at night!
Almost 95% of the times i wear my diamond studs. Half of the times i'll wear a RHR, either my blue sapphire ring or my pink tourmaline one. Sometimes i wear the diamond ring that i received as a gift for the birth of my baby daughter as a RHR. I have a diamond necklace and a diamond pendant but i don't wear them often. My tennis bracelet was something that i always wanted and when i finally got it i realized that it's not comfortable to wear every day at work, etc, so i keep it for special occasions.

To be honest, i don't think that i should get any more jewelry...I have more than i need and most of the stuff is in the safety deposit box, so i don't get to wear them often anyway...
One thing that i might do though, is to have a loose .53ct fancy light peachy-brown diamond, that has been sitting in my jewelry box for quite some time now, set in a yellow gold halo setting, in order to match it with a YG half eternity band of light brown diamonds that i have.I have been avoiding this project though for two reasons...The first one is that it will cost a lot of money and my badget doesn't look that good lately. The second one is that i'm afraid that afterwards i will want to reset my ER in a halo too :? :D
Actually, i was thinking of starting a thread on this and ask opinions on what to do!

I wish more people would deck themselves out, dripping in diamonds… so I won't feel foolish while decked out myself ::)
I wear my tiny .25ctw studs in my second piercings, and switch between two pairs of earrings: 1 set of studs (unknown ctw), and 1 pr of OMC 1.5ctw danglies. I also wear my 2.45ctw MRB eternity band, and either a .70 radiant solitaire or .70 halo'ed pear solitaire (~1ctw).

I am very, very excited and curious with what type of eternity you end up with. I think a french cut or asscher cut (OCTAVIAS!!) eternity would be DIVINE. Maybe not even a full eternity.. even a half or 3/4 eternity.. 20-25 pt-ers so that they BLING all on their own, but not too big so that you can pair it with your other rings.

First post (tentative wave) - been a longtime lurker. Can't say diamond must haves, as I am a minimalist (but I do love the decadent, decked out for afternoon champers' look with earrings, rings, bracelets etc etc - but only ever as an admirer not a wearer). At most I would wear three piece of jools, and they include: trusty Tissot watch, white gold wedding band, and diamond hoops or other earrings that my husband bought for me. I am not a big ring person, but have been brought to shame by my better half, who wears his rings every day, and on the rare occasion that he'd forgotten, he actually rushed back home halfway from work to fetch the ring (no, his name is not Gollum!).

Having said so, I am learning a lot from this forum, and hope to make better purchases based on everyone's wise recommendations and beautiful pictures!

Welcome cellar door! :D :wavey:
I am a long time *occasional* participant, depending upon whether I am anticipating any jewellery to land in my life soon....ish!

When I am not able to obtain diamonds in the nearish future, I stay away lol....... and then back with a thud when I sniff a 'diamond opportunity' on the wind.

Hoping for a RHR to commemorate my fourth child. No push presents thus far in my family *cough* but my husband seems to be improving with age as he VOLUNTEERED that a fourth baby really did mean he 'owned me one' for all the effort so far lol.

Regarding jewellery must-haves, I would say my solitaire engagement ring, plain wedder and 3/4 eternity of 10 pointers.
Then, on my right hand, the much-anticipated three-stone family ring will take pride of place on my second finger.

HOF Fulfillment earrings (1ctw) and I'm done!

Add my pretty gold watch and a gold bangle if I'm feeling 'fancy'.

I LOVE to wear the same jewellery each and every day! :wink2:

I MUST wear my plain wedding band. Almost always wear a solitaire /fly on the right hand.

I wear a RG Cartier necklace everyday only because its a hassle to take it off and put back on.

Sometimes I'd wear my huggies. When want to be dressier, I'd put on the diamond or pearl studs.

Love diamonds but don't agree that couples need an ering to be married, but that's another topic altogether :)

My wedding set and studs. I used to wear a pendant every day bit since menopause I can't stand anything around my neck!

Four kids!! Yes he certainly does owe you some diamonds by now.

Is it bad that I've picked out a giant eternity band even before I'm trying to get pregnant?

Getibg back to the Q...

I wear my three stone ring (see avatar) and plain wedding band and 0.8 carat OEC pendant everyday.

I wear my halo studs and diamond bezel band on occasion.

I need to get an everyday watch and I'm not really sure what to get.

Currently, I wear my engagement ring (blue sapphire with diamond sides) on my right hand, anniversary five stone band on my left, diamond studs and DBTY daily. I'd love a nice watch for daily wear too.

In the next five years or so I'm hoping to add a whopping solitaire for daily wear, I'd like to reset my sapphire ring (into a bezeled three stone with round diamond sides), an upgrade the size of my diamond studs.

I have a looooong list of other projects that would be super fun but not every day pieces:
French cut ruby channel set eternity band
A large ruby or rubellite in a pave halo for black tie events
South Sea pearl drops for my stud earrings
Baroque Tahitian pearl strand
A black opal pendant
Jackets for my stud earrings
A bracelet with an East-West set marquise diamond

Now where is that winning lottery ticket?

haha you're a classic! Is the eternity to be your push present? :wink2:
I reckon women deserve push presents ...probably more than engagement rings tbh lol

Let's face it, it's a lot easier to shop for jewellery before the baby comes, rather than after...well that's the approach I'm trying with my husband lol...trying to get it all sorted during this Christmas break!!

He actually seems to be coming around?! Strange how a man mellows with age!

OOh, I love your list Rose! :D
I feel naturally constrained by the 'one neck, two ears, two hands' problem.
I'm not one to switch out my jewellery...

What's everyone's thoughts on multiple rings on a single (right) hand ? Not been a fan of the look, but may have to go there in the end, if I'm to continue my jewellery 'hobby' into my dotage?!

Because of my line of work I do not wear lots of jewelry. I do wear my diamond studs daily but they are a modest size. I just bought a special piece to celebrate my graduation that I hope to wear jewelry. Besides that, less is more.

As somebody who just owns a wedding set, all the posts are helpful! You guys make me want an eternity band and a nice pendant :naughty:

No wedding set yet but when that finally comes, I will have that everyday obviously. As for other jewelry, I don't own any other diamonds yet either but I have a jade bangle that I wear on my left hand (can't take it off without a lot of squeezing and effort), a spoon ring from SO on my right pointer (I wear this most days unless I'm working more intensely with patients), an infinity ring on my right ring finger, a necklace (usually some sort of small pendant), and earrings.

My eventual diamond "must have" list:
- good pair of diamond studs
- DBTY necklace
- some sort of stand-alone eternity ring

I wear either my three stone engagement ring, eternity ring, or both every day. Always have my diamond stud earrings too but sometimes put something else in. I'd say I have a RHR and/or thumb ring on most of the time. Watch too. Necklace depends on how high my neckline is that day. Belly button ring never comes out.

Must haves? For me, anything I can get my sticky fingers on. Man I love jewelry! (So glad I found PS!). :D
General must haves for a jewelry wardrobe? Stud earrings, cool RHR, pendant, watch.

Pandabee, I had to google spoon ring. Those are very cool!
Rosebloom, you should post your awesome list on the realistic wish list thread too. I need to go update mine too. :Up_to_something:
Rosetta, Costco has some nice watches at reasonable prices.
Welcome cellardoor! :wavey:

To all those who wear lots: you're not alone!

Everyday, or at least every other day since I alternate, I am wearing either my 1.5 e-ring or my 2.5 anniversary ring: either my 2.5 carre eternity or my Sepkus band; my 1.4 tcw studs in my first piercing, and either my star studs or my .5 and .25s in the next two sets of piercings. Oh, and always my 1.3 pear pendant.

Back in the day, before I started wearing wedding jewelry, I wore a 7 carat green rough diamond on the middle finger of one hand, and a 6 carat white pearl diamond on the othe: since I started worrying about knocking them against the girdles of my cut stones, I've put them aside, but they're starting to creep back into rotation.

As for must-haves ... my eternities, my studs, and my pendant were big wish-list items for years and years. Now that I have them, the only things I'm really craving are a nice french-cut eternity, like Single Stone's bezeled frenchie band, a Van Craeynest band, and a good watch, either Cartier tank or Parmigiani.

After that, dudes, I dunno. I take up cross-stitch?

Everyday: 2 pairs of studs, and a pair huggies.

Must haves that I want to add to my collection: tennis bracelet and larger studs.

Other stuffs that I want: larger pendant, a solitaire (my ering is a 3 stone), larger (as in more ctw) hoop earrings and Tgal's earrings.

Wow Lara, it's so good to 'see' you! Congratulations on bubba #4!!!!!!!! That deserves some serious blingage!! :appl: :appl: :appl:

Everyday I wear my diamond studs and plain band gold wedding band. If I'm heading out somewhere I either stack my wedder with my 3 stone e-ring and another plain band, or my 20 pointer eternity ring. Usually I'd wear the eternity on my right hand but my puffy preggo fingers don't allow for that right now! :knockout: So at the moment it's the eternity solo on my left hand and nothing else! I will wear my tennis bracelet if I'm not too puffed, or a solid gold bangle. Not into necklaces much anymore *gasp!* If I'm feeling a bit sparkly I'll put my diamond jackets on with my studs too.
I can't wait to wear my DBL 'baby ring' RHR in a few weeks' time, when it actually fits! :appl:

Hi there Dandi!! I see you are 'with child' as well - further along than me, it seems lol!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I will have to trawl your threads and find your inspiring 'baby ring' :Up_to_something:
