Diamond cloudy?

Hi,

how would I be able to tell if the diamond I have recieved is cloudy hazy or milky?

whats the best way to check this and what should I be looking for if I have no diamond to compare it to?

what is the best light to check for Cloudy? Sunlight? Normal home light? And how would it appear if cloudy?

I assume you would need a loupe to determine this for sure. You should be able to see the facets clearly. Is it sparkly and bright? Those are the things I would care about. If it has fluorescence I would take it outside or use a uv light and see how that changes things.

What clarity are we talking? Where did you buy the stone from? Do you have a link to it that you can provide? It would help if we could see
the report that goes with the stone.

The best way would be to take it to an independent appraiser...pick your state.
