My sister just told me she sent me one of these, it's on it's way. Has anyone heard of them? Anyone think I will get a $5,000 ring out of mine?? Her son gave her one for Christmas and she said the ring she got was actually quite Nice, an aquamarine with ten itty bitty diamonds in 14k! Her jeweler said about$500.00! not too shabby. I will keep you all posted. :appl:

That really neat! I bet it's fun burning the candle and waiting to see what ring you get.

What a cute little gift idea, with a twist!

It looks like they also have a contest going for the best utube video posted by consumers about their diamond candle experience - very clever advertising all around!

Let us know when you find your ring, Elisa!

I want one of these just for fun...chances of getting a ring worth anything is little to none..but heck you never know....

I just ordered the Sweet Sample pack. I plan to keep one for myself and use the other four for hostess gifts. It sounds like so much fun, and the candles themselves got good reviews, too. Thanks for sharing this fun idea!!

great odea.

I've been entertaining myself by watching Diamond Candle ring reveals on YouTube. There are some pretty rings in some of the candles! It's like the grown-up version of cereal box surprises! I have never quite outgrown that thrill, so these candles are right up my alley.

I love this idea! A lottery ticket for bling lovers! Really a cross between cracker jacks of old time, and lottery tickets! Me wants a whole lot!

I have now watched about 20 you tube videos! Too fun! I am going to by a bunch of these and have them be my gifts for my next bunco party in June. My girlfriends will love them! Usually we do 5 prizes, but I think I will have to by one for everyone! It will be so hard to not tell them about it until then! Thank you Elisateach!

My dear sister fowarded me the email she got from ordering my candle. Don't know if any of you can use it but it does not hurt to try!

That is so cool!! Fingers crossed for you to get a good one!!!

I wonder if there is only one ring worth 5K and if someone has found it already?

It stands to reason that most of the rings are going to be of the $10.00 variety... just saying! But it is hard to resist the pull of the possibility of finding one of those more valuable rings.

About 15 years ago I was given a "treasure candle" as a gift - same Idea as the ring candle, but it contained a few semi-precious gems.

I was so impatient to find out what the treasure was, that I did everything I could to make the candle burn as fast as possible. It was rather a waste of a candle - just send the treasure in a mystery box to be opened.

I guess no one's going to pay $20 for a $10 prize in a mystery box, but they will buy a candle.

Enjoy your candle for what it is, and don't burn it too quickly.

( I would like one but they don't ship internationaly)

I just ordered one! Hee hee. I needed a new clean burning candle anyway so good excuse to the hubby. :Up_to_something:

I just bought one too! Wish me luck :)

My pumpkin chai candle arrived today! Let the fun begin.
I will keep you all updated.

Can't wait to see your ring!

ohhhh cant wait to see what you get...I just about ordered one today...but common sense pulled me back ;( I am thinking I might still order one before the weekend is done lol

Well I burned my candle religiously since I got it! Actually the scent is quite nice. Pumpkin Chai . This morning I noticed a piece of foil poking through , so not being able to wait, plus I have a ton to do today that will keep me out of the house. I dug it out. Wrapped in foil and then in a plastic Baggie was a ..... Sterling silver ring, that believe it or not fits my man hands, size 8.5 and was here us the crazy part a pear center with 2 pear side stones. Now for those of you who followed my pear needs a setting thread that is just crazy!!!
I am out right now getting errands done but I did take pics of the reveal and will post them. Something on the blog says sterling silver is worth around 100. I loupes it and sadly they are not diamonds :x : did not expect them to be! It was a fun experience and DH I'd getting me a alentines day one!! Got a coupon for 5 off so free shipping. :appl:

How weird is it that the ring I got in my candle is a nicer version of a cz ring I bought months ago to test the setting as a choice for my pear? If I had waited I could have saved 20 bucks!
But maybe someone is trying to ell me something about how to set my pear???

I had so much fun unwrapping the little foil pouch! No diamonds (big surprise  ), but I was surprised at the nice quality of the costume ring! I keep a treasure chest for my nieces to play in whenever they come over, so this ring is a very fun addition! I'm fighting off the urge to burn the other candles I bought to give as hostess gifts. Too fun!

I keep coming back to this thread in the hopes that one of you will post pics. I wouldn't object if you did :sun:

eta:Darn, I'm not sure you can because they're cz's :((

Well, I couldn't help myself. I bought the pack of 5, intending to keep one for myself and use the rest for hostess gifts whenever the need arose. I burned two more today. I'm attaching a pic of my three "treasures."

I like these candles. The scents are nice, and they put out a good flame. My candles have been a little sooty, but that's probably because I forget to trim the wick in between lightings. They're definitely more fun than my old Yankee Candles! Also, it amuses my husband to no end to see that I couldn't resist burning three out of the five candles. He definitely called that one correctly.

That's awesome Mrs Jam! Are you going to burn the other two? :Up_to_something:

If they did international postage I would have bought 5 as well! (and intended for gifts but burnt most for myself :cheeky: )

Maybe they will start to offer international postage soon. I wonder why they don't?

I'm going to try to give the two remaining candles away before I give in to the urge to light them up! However, the next couple of days over here are supposed to be rainy and dreary, so I can make no promises! Next time I order these candles with the intent to give them to others as gifts, I will wait until my gift-giving due date is about to arrive. It's too hard to have them just sitting there in a cabinet. These really will make fun gifts to bring to the next round of Christmas parties!

I wonder if they don't ship internationally because of the issues with import tax. A lot of countries tax imports of luxury goods, and packages require a Customs declaration of description and value - the tax liability is calculated on that declaration. I guess if you were sending a candle with a $5k ring in it and declaring it as a $5 candle, there would be a problem.

I didn't think of that; it makes sense. I wonder if there's really any $5k rings floating around out there, just waiting to be dug out of the wax!
