Hi PS, I'm looking to buy a Diamond by the yard white gold bracelet for myself as a birthday present, and doing some researching online.
I live in Australia and want to get it from US where is way much cheaper than getting it locally.

I saw 'leonsjewelry' on ebay selling lots of DBTY bracelet (and necklace as well) at very very good prices.
I found they are member on ebay since 08-Feb-00 in United States, and has Positive Feedback (last 12 months) of 99.9%
I also googled that they have a shopfront at 801 Sansom Street Philadelphia, PA 19107, United States.

Any people here knows about leonsjewelry? Are they trustworthy seller? Am I ok to buy from them?

Many thanks for the help.

Edit:
Anyone here bought from 'leonsjewelry' on ebay before? how is the experience?

Here is some links of the DBYT bracelet they sell:

I have never bought from them but I did admire their jewelry when I was looking to buy a DBTY necklace and asked Leon a few questions to which he always promptly responded. I decided to go with a known entity (PS recommended vendor) and ordered the necklace from ID jewelry but Leon's prices were very very tempting I must say. He was willing to make exactly what I wanted at very competitive prices and if I wasn't so risk adverse I might have taken a chance. He promised full money back if I wasn't 100% satisfied with the custom necklace he would have made for me. For a smaller item like a bracelet I might have taken the chance though. Good luck with your project!

I think he's overpriced. And I don't like the look of his stuff. If the return policy is rock solid AND the transaction is on ebay though, maybe.

I think Burk bought her DBTY bracelet from him, he has a lot of them on eBay right? She was really happy with it, I think she bought one, it was too insignificant on her wrist, and returned it for a bigger one. He also negotiated pricing. If you really like it and he is willing to work with you on pricing and has a good return policy, I'd go for it.

Thanks for your reply missy. Leon's prices are very~ very~~ very~~~ tempting. You can get much bigger stones for the similar prices. I mean for about US$1000, you can get 7 diamonds at more than 1cttw, while WF and BGD only offers at about 0.5cttw or 0.35cttw respectively. I did ask him couple questions and he replied very quickly as well. But he didn’t really answer me why his prices are different on the same total carat weight DBTY bracelet. He also promised that if not 100% happy, I can have money back. But I live in Australia; it’d be pain in the a$$ if I’ve to return it.
Thanks for letting me know you get your DBTY necklace from ID jewelry. I shot them an email in the afternoon and asked if they can make DBTY bracelet and ship it to Australia. Hope will get reply soon.

Thanks for your reply Gypsy. I haven't really looked at the other items Leon's Jewlery is selling, but his DBTY bracelets are the cheapest I can find, just not quite sure about the quality though. I'm not quite into his style as well, but I'm very into DBTY atm :naughty:

Thanks for your reply Mara. It's good to hear that someone here bought from him before and very happy about the item. I'm still abit hesitated to buy from him atm, since I don't live in US, return can't be that easy, even he has the good return policy. If I were in US, I think I'd give it a shot.

Does your purchase have to be from eBay? Why not call/email IDJ or BGD and see about their pricing? IDJ is known to have great quality and work well within budgets!

Hi Enerchi, no, not at all. I actually a bit worried to buy from ebay.

I've contacted BGD, they gave me a quote of 5*0.07ct @ 14K white gold and ship to Australia for US$1040. It's a bit expensive for only 0.35cttw in my opinion.

I also contacted WF a week ago. They promised me 4 times to get back to me 'Next Morning', but never did.

I'm still waiting for IDJ get back to me. I sent an email to them this afternoon.

GREAT!!! In my experience, with IDJ, if I don't get a reply back with in a day or so, it is ALWAYS best to call them! they have a toll free number ... 1.888.921.9372. I'd call and ask to talk to Luann. She's great on the phone - will get answers usually right away.

Good luck!

Hi Eleana,

I am in Aus too!, I have been looking at Leon's Jewellery also but have been a bit reluctant to purchase. As you say it's all good to return the item if you are not happy, but it's a hassle.

The dbty necklaces etc look very nice and the prices are great compared to some of the ps online vendors. I personally like the look of WF's. I think quite a few pricescopers have bought from IDJ as well. I have spoken with Luann as well and she is more than helpful.

Maybe Mara might chime in and tell us about her dbty and if she was happy with it.

Keep us posted on which way you decide to go. :wavey:

I do have a blue DBTY from IDJ and I love it. Very happy with it. Their pricing is not quite eBay low, but you know what you are getting, aka in terms of quality and they are reputable. I have bought other things from them also and always been happy. So if someone is looking for a less 'risky' transaction, IDJ is a great option.

Yes!!! Thanks for the heads up. I called IDJ last night (Australian time), but got a very very bad line. People over the other side barely heard me and I barely heard her either.... So I sent them another email....This time not throught the online contact form.... If no update I will call them again next week.

Hi Monnyjay, where are you based in Australia? Good to see there is also others from down under :)
Have you bought the DBTY bracelet yet? Which vendor will you go for?

I think WF's stock items offer much better values (than WF custom made ones). 6 x .07ctw (0.42cttw) 18K white @ >1000, compared to the stock one 8 x .0625ctw (0.5cttw) 18K white @ 965.15. And they don't make it in 14K white. I think I will go for stock if I order from them.

I'm waiting for the reply from IDJ atm. From what other PS said, IDJ sounds very promising. I think I will make my decision as long as I got their reply :)

Hi Mara, thanks for replying here. Good to hear you love the DBTY IDJ made for you. I'm very risk adverse actually. I think I will only go for the reputable vendors.

BTW, I just found out ID Jewelry has an ebay store as well:

FYI, make sure to talk with someone at IDJ and let them know you are a Pricescoper. The items they list on their website and on eBay are not necessarily ideal cut but they will use ideal cut stones if they know you're a PS'er. The pricing will be a little more but the quality is fantastic (and the price is still extremely good!).
