So it’s 2023 and that means we have been married for 20 years! We eloped and I only had a small mall band. I am lucky beyond measure with my husband and now that I am able to have several lovely sets. At one time with this set, I had the Diamond and sapphires in a trilogy ring, then put a lab into the trilogy last month, but realized that I wanted my natural Diamond with the unheated sapphires. And I haloed it! It’s big and bold and may take some time to get used to for me. I love it because it provides massive hand coverage for my chubby fingers. Thank you everyone for the kind comments. I actually realized I didn’t put in any stats. This is a total of 4.42 cts. on the ring. It is 2.6 cts natural diamonds and then 1.82 unheated sapphires. The center Diamond is F SI2. All platinum bands. There’s a 3mm band in between the ring and the Embrace band as a spacer. Now-I just need helping naming her!!!

If anyone is interested in this ring, here is more of the story of how this ring evolved. I know when I went searching for ideas it wasn’t super common although I did see styles like it. First, I added the unheated sapphires for my 19th anniversary. I love sapphires as they are my birthstone. I also was gifted a ring when I was a young girl by my very special God-mother that had sapphires on the side and a center Diamond in an antique setting. Unfortunately I lost it but loved the pattern. So this pattern is sentimental for me.

Dream Diamond and Sapphire trilogy ring set

Then I took the Diamond out and put it into another setting! I switch things around a bit much. I was thinking of putting in a white sapphire, which I bought and didn’t like. And then I got a lab Diamond! First ever!! And put that into the trilogy next. Here’s the thread and the pictures below show what it looks like with the white sapphire and with the lab. But after I put the lab in the trilogy it just didn’t feel right although it looked beautiful. On this thread I saw a post with the halo design and I was smitten. I am glad to have these boards where I learn about styles and saw new things. I ended up putting my natural Diamond into the halo trilogy and it feels just right.

Perspective 4.42 cts with the natural Diamond and sapphires. Provides great finger coverage and is super comfortable with my plain wedding band underneath. Thanks for listening to my story and I apologize if I have been redundant. Just super happy with it!!
