Looking at two different diamonds:

#2

I''m not necessarily looking for an H&A but I like the #2. I''m planning on setting this in a 6 prong platinum solitaire setting. Thank you for your input. And if you have any other diamonds I''d be willing to take a look. I''m looking in the 6k-7k range and want something that is near-colorless or better and a minimum of VS2 with an EX/VG cut. Again, thanks.

I''m just going to make those click-able

I think that having a minimum of VS2 isn''t really necessary to find a gorgeous diamond, just a thought. Both are pretty, I don''t have an opinion between either.

Both are really nice but i would personally go with the cheaper stone

Yap, I would go for the JA stone too if you are not going for a H&A stone. Get a IS image from JA to comfirm.

Both look great, ask James Allen for an Idealscope image, they can supply these on request.

May I step in with some technical advice?

The traditional advice to get an idealscope-image for the JA-stone is, in this case, not really necessary. This stone has a new-format AGS-report, which also shows a computer-generated ASET of the actual measurement of the stone. In that case, with WF offering the actual ASET of their ACA, one can compare both ASET's.

Live long,
Of course Paul, I always welcome your guidance!

Paul,

Thanks for the input. I have one quick question. How accurate are the computer generated images on the AGS reports? I know they are based off of scans, but I recall seeing a couple of diamonds recently that the image on the report and the actual ASET taken by the vendor differred in some aspects. Could that be caused by something in the scans or the process of trying to print the image on the report?
