I am amazed that anyone would take off a 3ct ring in a bar. Glad you found it.

Thank goodness. Just remember to keep the ring on the finger at all times unless at home.

What a relief! I am sure it will never leave her finger again!

OMG I was sick to my stomach reading your story THEN the best news. CONGRATS...so happy you found it and yes...never take it off to show anyone

Oh wow, I am so gald that you found it! That is seriously awesome!

That is AWESOME news! I''m so happy for you guys!

Unreal! I''m so glad you guys were able to find the ring!!!!

That is quite the story! I bet the two of you nearly cried tears of joy when you found it.

I remember this thread! I''m so glad you guys didn''t lose the ring. It''s too much of a stunner to be a drinking buddy...

Oh my goodness! What a relief! I''m so glad you found it. I had something similar happen to me, I was just playing around with my promise ring and I lost it somewhere. I was devastated, and it didn''t even cost 1/10th of your ring! Thankfully the ''search party'' found it eventually! I have never ever taken off my ring in a crowded public area ever since! *whew* for you, Wacamaster!

Double post, sorry

ETA: Gorgeous ring!!

Did you get the prong fixed?

Yup... I, too, got the ol'' pit in my stomach as I began reading this thread. I was sick. And I was sure you were going to have trouble collecting from your insurance company, rider or no rider. Wow, what a relief! NOW, you know to double-check your insurance coverage, hopefully you will NEVER need it. And, perhaps now is the time to discuss what safe place you both have for this ring at home when it isn''t being worn. Uh-hem... at this point, I think it goes without saying that a 3ct diamond ring does NOT come off in a public bar – liquor or no liquor!

Wonderful news, I''m so glad you found it!!

Consider re-sizing the ring, it may be a size too big. In addition, I often leave my bling at home when I''m going to the bar. It''s also generally a good idea to leave it at home when you are going to be walking around late at night.

Gorgeous.

And BIG!

Thanks for posting a pic for us!

Whew! Yes, I agree that she needs to lock it up at home if you should take her to a bar again!

Maybe get her a CZ that size and set it in a similar setting in white gold to wear places like that.

And... you need to call your insurance agent and tell them about the scare and ask to be certain what is covered on your policy. (hopefully you already have since I see it has been over a month since this happened!)

A happy ending, congats.

I could see how that one could be mistaken for an ice cube. It is huge and beautiful!

OMG!!! What a relief!!! I was reading your thread feeling so anxious and then a happy ending!! Don''t let her take it off again!!

I love happy endings!

It''s gorgeous! So glad that you found it!

I am so glad that you found the ring. You must be very relieved.

Just for the future, you should probably get more informed on the insurance that you do have and what it covers and what it doesn''t cover. I am doing this right now. Just from my experience, $300/year seems a bit low for insurance on a 3 carat ring. I''m getting quotes for around $21K of jewelry right now, and it is all coming out around the $300/year mark. I don''t know how much you paid for the ring, but I would think a good quality 3 carat ring would cost alot more than $20K to replace.....

Glad it''s home safe where it belongs!

OMG thank goodness you guys found it. I would be so sad if I lost mine and yours is 3ct!

OMG we found it! We looked in her car first that we had left at the bar and found it on the floor board! This is such a relief as I was thinking about how even if it was covered the ring I took so long to look for could never really be replaced as ''the one''. She says it''s never coming off her finger again. And she''s ''quit drinking for life'' :-)
Wow, what a rough night for you! I am soooo glad you found it! My husband told me when I got mine, "NEVER TAKE IT OFF YOUR FINGER WHEN YOU ARE NOT HOME!" Those are words to live by! Also, close toilets and sink drains when you do take it off at home!

yeah so glad you found it... I was feeling the same as others felt with a pit ol in the stomach... whew...
