Hello All,
I unfortunately spent way too much time on settings and a focus on color & clarity. I only recently came across the PS forums and now I realize my folly - cut quality matters most!
And I''m now thinking that I would be better off with a focus on the diamond and then let my girlfriend help me with the setting selection after the surprise proposal.
I need to pick up a princess cut 1ct diamond ASAP so I can make the proposal next week but I''m really not sure how to narrow the selection down beyond the shortlist. Can ya''ll help me pick something that will be great and worthy of the requested price tag?
I''ll need a vendor who can put the diamond into a simple setting. I''m hoping I can possibly recoup some of the cost of the "temporary" setting in the future.
Here are some options that I picked that seem great to me but I really don''t know and this uneasiness is stressing me out:

Whiteflash also has a ACA Princess cut for 6999.00 but that is a little outside of my budget.

I''ve eliminated bluenile.com and other sites who didn''t have actual photos, it seems like the above listed vendors have had success with other PS forum posters. I really can''t figure out AGS, Idealscope, Sarin & ASET to know how those variables make an impact.
To help put things in perspective this ring seems like a winner to me:

Please help me if you can, I''ve never had to purchase a diamond before now, I think purchasing a car is easier.
