I mean, I know it plays a part, but I''m confused. They sound like they''re choosing who they are choosing based on TODAY''S debate, nothing else.

For this election, I think it''s not unusual for the major networks, though no doubt some would disagree. They were also remarkably even-handed after Sarah Palin''s convention speech. Fox is the place to go for bias towards the right (my parents insist on watching it; I don''t consider it "news".) On the left... I don''t have cable so I may be missing something here. I also have to admit that I don''t watch much of PBS news/public affairs broadcasting. I do listen to NPR regularly and their news shows strike me as being pretty balanced in this election. They''re real good a staying out of the sensationalist tabloid fodder.

But honestly, my assessment probably reflects my personal bias big time!
