DBTY type necklace that wrap multiple times

Hello! I love the look of DBTY and currently have been talking to BG about a 36" WG 1.5mm with 18 alternating 10 pt and 18 20 pt diamonds. I will never wear it single, only doubled (or more). I don't want this to look dainty. Do you think it would be over kill to do a 54 inch or even 72 to wrap three or four times? I have never seen this. I have money in budget to add more stones if I need to. Any thoughts or feedback appreciated!

Hi, I remember seeing a photo of one (where ??) that was a whole 100 inches long. It wrapped around like 4 times and looked fabulous. Maybe a movie star at some award function? I recall her wearing a green dress I loved as well.
I had an old long string string of pearls, I think they called it “opera length” and it came almost to my stomach. I would wear it as two (a choker length and long) or double the same. I could wear it three times around too.
Think about what “lengths” you like to wear and go from there.

I’d go for the 54 inches. I tried something on similar with old cuts set in platinum at a jewellery show this past summer. I didn’t want to take it off
