Hi Pricescopers - first time poster after lurking and learning for a very long time. I would love advice and pictures if anyone can help. I'm in the market for a dbty bracelet that will be made by the fantastic IDJ. I'm going to use either 19 or 20 pointers (no big difference, I just tried on .19 and loved them but priced .20s). I really need advice with the color. I wear primarily white gold, but love yellow gold too. I was going to custom make the bracelet with white gold bezels and yellow gold chain to combine the best of both worlds. I've seen that combo once on pricescope and thought it really made the stones pop. However, idj is recommending to stick with one color to make it look nicer. Any advice/opinions before I make a decision (and because it's custom, it can't be returned). Thank you all!

Yes thank you - those pictures and sizes help so much! Do you find your yellow and white gold necklace versatile? Any regrets about making it two tone instead of all one color gold? Do you have any opinions about .19 vs .20? Is is only a very small price difference, but my bracelet size is 7" so I don't want to be overwhelming. And your collection is fabulous by the way!:D

I can understand how a two-tone necklace works, because the yellow is more of a presence. The bracelet may look different due to the shorter yellow gold chains...

The RG/WG bracelet are 15 pointers. Not sure about the RG/RG necklace, but they are slightly larger stones.

Thank you KristinTech- I hadn't thought of that bc I haven't seen them in person.
Thank you too Octo2005- they are a perfect image to compare. Any regrets going two tone?
Thank you all!

Nope, I think it makes the stones look bigger.

The authentic Tiffany DBTY is single tone, if that makes a difference in your choice.

I'm no help I like both looks!!!! But the melee IDJ uses is so white that the RG doesn't impact the color of the melee.

I almost always prefer white metal to hold diamonds. Just like most solitaires that have gold shanks have a white metal head. I never even considered that two tone. I consider the white metal is supposed to be kind of invisible for the diamonds to show up, and they will definitely make the diamonds look larger than colored gold bezels would. I think all white metal is the most versatile and can be worn with anything, but I do love them with the rg or yg chain, as well. My sister had IDJ make her a long DBTY necklace with wg bezels and yg chain.

I’m a big fan of two tone because I wear other jewellery, watches and rings and some are white gold, others yellow gold.
Also, it’s an optical illusion, but a white gold bezel does help the diamond stand out against the skin and yellow gold chain in between.

Thank you all for replying! I was hoping to wake up this morning knowing which to choose- I'm still torn but all of your pictures and insights are truly helping. I plan on spending the day comparing pictures to make a decision (and maybe doing a little work too)!

We all know what it’s like when you’ve got bling on the brain! Is there a department store near you where you could put some two-tone pieces on your own wrist to see what it looks like?

James Allen has a feature in their ring section where you can take a picture of your hand and the picture of their ring will be placed on top of your finger. It’s a little hokey, but it is better than nothing. I wonder if they have the same feature for bracelets!

Ha! Thanks for understanding the bling struggle. Hubby is anxiously awaiting a decision, any decision, just to move on! That's the problem- I've been looking at local jewelry stores and no one has it in two tone to try. I'm going to continue my search today and see if any stores have anything even close to get an idea. And good idea on the James Allen site- I'll check it out. Thank you!

I would think that you want white metal on the bezels of the diamonds, similar to white prongs/head of a ring. I think it would look good either way, but the diamonds will def look larger encased in wg.

Not a bracelet here but might help you to see the scale of things. These are 15pt in white gold. 78C74899-2B5D-4877-B58A-33EEE0C4090A.png

I love the two tone.

Decision update-
Thank you to all who took the time to respond and send pictures. I can't tell you how many times I looked at and enlarged your pictures yesterday. After stopping in 3 local jewelry stores and trying on anything close to a dbty, I finally made a totally rational pricescope decision. I love the original inspired by Tiffany look of all one color, but I love the versatility of two tone. So of course I decided to get two bracelets- one yg and one wg. Ok so the wg one will have to go on a future wish list after some saving (or Lotto winning) but I think I would ultimately love to stack 2 different colors. Imagine Hubby's surprise when I threw that curveball at him:-o So for now I'll start with my original all yg and hold out for another one in the (hopefully not too far but will probably be a while) future! Thank you all so much for your pictures and opinions!

I think that’s an excellent decision!

Great decision -- We are such enablers!:mrgreen2:

Well, y’all took her from “maybe I want a bracelet” to “I definitively want two bracelets” in under 48 hours... so yeah, I’d agree :mrgreen2:

I know - we are terrible.

Maybe we should start a support group - Blingaholics Anonymous! We will have monthly meetings (ie bling playdates) and we could have a fundraiser to buy community/group bling and take turns with the beauties, like Sisterhood of the traveling bling:twisted2:

I'd attend a pricescope fundraiser- I'm going to need it! And yes- y'all are very very bad (yet really good) enablers! The "I need two bracelets decision in 48 hours" was equally shocking to my husband. But somehow I totally justified it thanks to pricescope.
