I picked up this ring at an antique shop today. I am curious if anyone can take a guess or provide evidence of when it could have been created. I was thinking around 1920's or 1930's because of the raised jewels, but I'm no expert. There are no hallmarks on the ring, which makes me think it's either fake or foreign, or maybe it was resized.
I would say late 1970's or 1980's. This style was very popular at that time. The jewelry catalogs were full of them. I lusted for a ring just like this, but with sapphires.
I never did get one, though!

I agree with stracci2000. This was very a popular style during that time frame. This style had the same popularity as today's halos. I think your assumptions are correct that the ring was sized and that is why there is no hallmark.
