How did your sil like her diamond cross your brother was giving her? I remember you mentioning this in a thread I started before Christmas. I would love to see some pics in real life, the web picture of this one only shows front angle.

I know Bliss also had one made from same jeweler also, and she was very happy. Would love to see more detail of the setting

Hi Monny!

I know, I have been waiting to see my SIL (I haven't seen her since my brother gave her the necklace) so that I could take some pics of you guys!!!! I know that she LOVES it though!!! I promise, as soon as I see her I will take tons of pics and post them for you!!! I will also see if she could take some shots and send them to me, because I may not actually see her for at least a few more wks. Will report back soon...

eta: She says she loves it "just wonders if she could've went bigger." I told her I think the size is perfect on her 4'11, 90 lb frame. Any bigger I think would be too much! What do you guys think?

I agree Dani. She is pretty petite. Too much would look like its wearing her, rather than the other way around (unless of course, she's a Rapper... then all bets are off! )

But seriously - that seems to be a good proportion for her, based upon the chin to chest photo you provided.

I forgot to ask before - is that an IDJ cross?? You mentioned Bliss and she does enjoy shopping there!

Yep, the cross is from IDJ. Both myself and my family members have purchased from them over the past few yrs and we are happy with the customer service for sure (plus they have really nice things too)! I agree that the cross looks good on her. I haven't seen it IRL though yet, so when I do I guess I will get a better idea. I know with IDJ everything is upgradeable, so she may decide to go larger!!!

Hi Dani,

The cross looks gorgeous, I definitely don't think she should get it any larger. I think 1.10ct is perfect not too big or not too small, but it comes down to personal taste.

Is that a 16 inch chain? IDJ seem to be very popular with a lot of ps, have you been happy with the quality of their stones?

Yes, the chain is 16 inches.

I haven't seen her necklace yet, so I will check the stones out when I see it. But I do have an eternity band from IDJ, and I am happy with the quality of those stones. Plus they really do go out of their way to make sure their customers (especially PS-ers) are happy.

L&D nurse? That's where I started my nursing career! Loved working there... and it is totally true about full moons - we always had an increase in births during a full moon cycle!

Beautiful! I am glad she loves it! And I like that size and wouldn't go larger. I think a longer chain is needed for that size cross...18" probably. My smaller one has a 17" chain, and I would want a larger cross to hang a little lower than that, personally.

Yes, I started on L&D over 12 yrs ago now....I am still per diem there. I'm working as an NP in a private OB/GYN office now, so that's what I'm primarily doing with my time. I miss L&D on a consistent basis though. It's been hard to make the change, but I do enjoy working in the office as well, and I am certainly learning a lot. I don't wear my rings to work though (just my plain band). Where are you working now?

Hi DS! I agree with you, I think the chain should be longer. I will talk to my SIL. Maybe that will help? I know she likes her jewelry blingy, but I also think it may look slightly larger in the pics. Even my brother said he thought she could go larger...

Left L&D to start working FT for a health department. Was in general district x 5 years, then a mat leave for my first child. Back to work for 2 years on a specialty reproductive/sexual health team. Moved. Worked PT for 18 years while the kids grew, still in sexual health for a different health department. Now, I'm back to FT for the last 2.5 years, working with vulnerable populations. Very rewarding but I miss the hands on aspect of the previous jobs.

Working FT keeps me in BLING AND SHOES!!
